I really don’t think Josh Hutcherson is gay. He doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who would have any problem saying he was gay if he was, so by the fact that he hasn’t, I think he is acgenuinely straight. But like Daniel Radcliffe and James Franco, he genuinely doesn’t give a shit what you think of him, so he doesn’t let restrictive notions of masculinity and heterosexuality control him. As for his LGBT-friendliness, doesn’t he have two moms or lesbian aunts or something? And why shouldn’t he be gay-friendly? You don’t have to be gay to not be an asshole.

As for the rest, Sechrest and Crawford are definitely gay. So is Travolta obviously, but no way in hell will he ever come out.

But some that you missed: Taylor Lautner. Colton Haynes. Bradley Cooper. Jeremy Renner. Luke Evans (again).

I really hope that we can evolve to a point where we can love whomever we want without these stupid labels…Until then please don’t let John Revolting be gay…I’m not saying he isn’t I just don’t want him to be…We have enough cray cray creepy queers already.

You know who should also come out? Beards. Those professional female companions who show their acting skills (or lack thereof) by pretending to be oh so in love with the closeted celebrity whenever there’s a camera around and a movie or some other project to promote.

Yet again with the incessant Tom Daley posts and references. In this big scheme of things, his coming out was a minor blip on the radar screen, which Queerty is attempting to equate to the coming of the gay Messiah. Enough already. How about this New Year’s resolution for Queerty? No mention of Tom Daley in any form or fashion for one week. It will be difficult at first, and may ever hurt a little. You may also feel some withdrawal symptoms, but in the end, you will be better for it, and your readers will thank you.

Ya know, if the issue ever comes up in conversation, I politely inform people that I’m a private person and prefer not to divulge the details of what happens in my bedroom, and guess what? 100% of them are cool with that.
Just because these people are public figures is no reason to pressure them into revealing themselves to us. If anything, we should be more respectful—especially if they’re gay and struggling with it.

This list is schizophrenic: a mix of wonderful allies of the G/L community (Josh, Ellen, Jake, Chace, Oprah) mixed with strange closet cases ranging from pathetic to trashy.

I rather liked Tom Hardy’s cavalier admission of bisexual history… until he caved to the badgering and retracted.

The sexual admissions by Osa Wallander, a Swedish actress looking to break into the U.S. market, are awesome. My favorite statement, “I’ve been luckiy: I’ve never been turned down by someone I found attractive.”

@BJ McFrisky: For some of us, sexual orientation isn’t limited to “what happens in the bedroom.” I look around the office where I work and there are sexual signals all over the place: wedding pictures, baby pictures, vacation photos, family portraits.

I just don’t understand posts like this. It would be one thing if the list only included celebrities who are speculated to be closeted. Or if the list was only a “wish list” of guys/gals who the author hopes are gay. But this is a weird mixture of the two and it waters everything down and makes the post practically useless.

Also, the author has some of the most obnoxious stereotypes in mind about gays apparently. So taking naked selfies and spelling your name with n’s make you gay? Maybe, just a hunch, it makes you a vapid celebrity, regardless of sexuality.

Oh, and I completely agree about being so sick of hearing about Tom Daley. Really? He needs to be referenced numerous times in a post about people who MIGHT come out in 2014? Not everyone finds him adorable and the more that Queerty pushes him down our throats, the more I’m starting to actually dislike him.

I’m getting tired of Tom Daley being the gold standard by which to rate all coming out stories….the boy lied for starters- he said in his world famous video- that he’s ‘NEVER lied- maybe had been vague’ There’s a number of times- including audio and vis=deo of him saying he was straight! Plus- who actually believes he’s bi??? I believe in bisexuality- I’m not questioning it, but Tom only said it to string girl fans along/to keep his popularity- BF DLBlack has questioned the existence of bisexuals in the past, so do you really think he’d be with one???? Robbie Rodgers, Jason Collins and Orlando Cruz are much better role models and standards for coming out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is long past time for the gay media to stop doing three things:

      1) Assuming that being super-comfortable with gayness equals being gay.

      2) Assuming that the least hint of bi-curiousness equals being gay.

      3) Assuming that a man with any sort of fashion sense has to be gay.

That would eliminate several of the people on this list, which quite frankly is a fantasy wish list lacking anything resembling credibility.

Oh give it a rest, your post is no different than the posts that used to say exactly the same thing when anybody dared suggest that Ricky Martin, Clay Aiken, Neil Patrick Harris, Rosie O’Donnell, Lance Bass etc… were gay before they came out.

How about the media stops reinforcing the closet as if being gay was some illegal shameful secret once and for all. When somebody is photographed walking holding hands with their partner, or kissing as Neil Patrick Harris was apparently for years and the press purposely hides the pictures even though they were out in public, that is just reinforcing the attitude that being gay is shameful.

I really don’t see the problem in speculation about something so innocuous as sexual orientation, unless you believe that the label “gay” is worst thing to befall an ostensibly straight person.

There’s nothing wrong, shameful or bad about being gay, bi, trans, or queer. Or non-conforming, like B. Smith.

Gay, bi, trans, queer people are not the problem.

      Homophobia is the problem.

      Heterosexism is the problem.

      Heteronormativity is the problem.

The sooner we stop accepting homophobic premises that being gay, bi, trans or queer are shameful and something to be hidden, the better off we ALL will be, including straight people.

On the list above, the one who should come out is Tyler Perry, since he is notorious for pushing moralistic bullcrap in his films. He even ruined Ntozake Shange’s play for colored girls in his film version by adding an unnecessary anti-gay, anti-DL, blame-the-closed-gay-man storyline.

No one has mentioned Channing Tatum. As soon as his popularity exploded, he stopped talking about being bi, immediately got married, and quicker than you can say Suri, was being proclaimed father of the year. Talk about finding a quick beard family. As far as Seacrest, someone in the know, phrased it much better than I ever could. “The guy was so turned on, he was sweating more than Ryan Seacrest watching ‘Brokeback Mountain.'”

It bemuses me when some posters like to equate being Bi to being str8 with a slight dip in the gay ‘pool!’ Come on, what str8 guy would even think of having sex with a guy, much less actually having sex with him? Maybe the str8’s I know are the exception to the rule? Also, I read an interview with a twink clarifying his status as Bi and not gay: He said he has sex with both, but, in truth, he prefers sex with a guy much more satisfying, than sex with a female! So, obviously, his sex with a female is more of a PDA and PR thing (to maintain his status, as str8) and not something that is emotionally and sexually, satisfying (IMO).
