2 Sentence Movie Reviews: Brooklyn’s Finest

Brooklyn’s Finest stars Ethan Hawke in Training Day director Antoine Fuqua’s mostly tired but still entertaining attempt at putting The Wire on the big screen, except cop nuance and suspense are replaced with cliche good cop v. bad cop storylines and unoriginal and idle yearning for morality, while Don Cheadle is as underused as Richard Gere is a crutch.

It opens today, and you should wait until its second week in theaters to see it instead of trying to beat this weekend’s crowd.

I must say, Richard Gere is looking sexy in cop attire. I might go see it for that reason alone.

Sorry – Richard Gere is looking more like Grandpa than a sexy cop – and I am not being nasty – just truthful.

@Swimmer – Chicago: one man’s truth is another man’s bullshit.
