"'Three people – two women and a man – were arrested Monday night in a bias assault in Mastic Beach in which the suspects "made numerous anti-gay remarks about the victim's sexual orientation,' police said Tuesday. The trio, in their 20s, made the remarks while kicking, hitting and pushing the female victim, Suffolk police said. The unidentified victim did not suffer injuries that required hospitalization, police said. The suspects, Nora Mitzner, 21, of Dune Road, Westhampton Beach; Lindsay McBeth, 25, of Route 112, Medford; and Selwyn Icangelo, 20, of Commack Road, Mastic Beach, were each charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, police said." Ah, le charm that is Long Island. Lovingly referred to as the New Jersey of the non-New Jersey Eastern Seaboard.
When did "hate crime" become "bias assault"?
@homofied: right bc this kind of thing only happens on long island. hey, guy, f u.
"Lovingly referred to as the New Jersey of the non-New Jersey Eastern Seaboard."
And brevity is the soul of wit, douche.
Luonguh OOeyelind is guido and tacky jew central. It'd be nice if the people would die of plague or be shot into space. I hope these people get raped in the pokey.
I've spent much time in the inner city and much time on Long Island. Believe me- Long Island is less-homophobic, cooler, smarter, and just better.
@TANK:
K, LI may have it's down sides, but don't knock it all. Garden City, Manhassett, the entire North Shore….not exactly "guido central". Long Island has some of the best towns ON the eastern seaboard to live in, and I can guarantee if someone offered you a house in Millneck, Oyster Bay Cove, or Cold Spring Harbor, you wouldn't turn it down because of the abundance of "tacky Jews" and "guidos".
I love living on Long Island. Let's not make it out as though this shit only happens on Long Island.
I love Long Island Iced Tea! The rest, not so much…
