SIZE MATTERS

420-Pound Gay Man Proves Sexy Comes In All Sizes, But Not Everyone Agrees

34-year-old Louca has struggled with his weight for his entire life. He currently weighs approximately 420 pounds. Even today, he says he’s still bullied because of his size.

“When I attend gay bars, clubs, and cruising areas, people are picking on me because of my obesity,” he said.

As a result, Louca has never had a “one-to-one relationship” with a gay man.

“When I have dated, it’s been with bisexual guys,” he revealed. “I’m looking for a one-to-one relationship with a gay guy now. That’s always been my dream.”

Earlier this year, he decided to take a stab at making that dream a reality… by entering the Mr. Gay U.K. competition. Because, he said, “everyone deserves a little happiness.”

What happened next, he never expected.

When Louca showed up to the competition, he stood out like a sore thumb. “The other guys were muscle-y, tall, slim, sexy,” he explained. “I thought people would laugh at me, boo, throw abusive language at me.”

Louca noted that it was very hard to believe at first, but the icing on the cake came at the end of the night when he was awarded the top prize.

“It was like being in the O2 arena,” he said with a smile on his face. “It was an amazing atmosphere. I couldn’t believe my luck at first. I thought… the tables are turning!”

But the high was short-lived. Because just a few days later, a magazine published a recap of the competition. It listed a different man as the winner. Not just that, but Louca wasn’t mentioned once in the article.

“What they’re trying to do is say that I don’t exist,” he said.

Louca then received a phone call from the competition’s organizers saying he had been disqualified because of a technicality. During the competition, contestants were required to put on underwear. Since Louca didn’t fit in the underwear provided to him, organizers said he was ineligible for the title of Mr. Gay U.K.

“They took me out of the competition because the underwear wasn’t my size,” he observed. “I don’t think it’s fair because I did win the title of Mr. Gay UK London.”
