The stereotype is true: gays just can’t resist a powerful independent woman.
In a new survey conducted by Community Marketing & Insights, Hillary Clinton has a slight edge over Bernie Sanders among LGBT voters. It’s not a huge margin: she’d get 48 percent of their vote, while he’d get just 41 percent.
The strangest part, though, is that two percent of voters said they’d vote for Donald Trump. Who are these people? And who are the six percent who said they’d vote for John Kasich, who explicitly said that he disapproved of the Supreme Court ruling granting us the freedom to marry?
When asked whether Hillary or Bernie would be more supportive of LGBT equality, a plurality (37 percent) said that they’d be equally supportive. Of the remained, 31 said Bernie would be better, while 25 said Hillary.
How about we take this to the next level?

That’s a strange finding, since it’s a reversal of how the voters would support the candidates. It means that among LGBTQ voters, a slim majority thinks that Bernie would be more supportive; but a slim majority would back Hillary over him. Is this maybe because it seems more likely that Hillary will win, so voters want to jump on her bandwagon? Was it HRC’s endorsement that swayed them? Or are they just really attracted to her participation in memes?
For what it’s worth, Hillary has a suite of 24 policy priorities for improving the lives of queer people. Bernie has just 7. But they’re 7 really good ones!
And let’s just have a little perspective here: a decade ago, we had to hold our noses and vote for Democrats who opposed full equality for us because they were still better than the lousy Republicans. It’s pretty awesome that now we have to choose between two strongly supportive candidates.
Community Marketing & Insights is no slouch when it comes to understanding the queer hive mind. They’ve been gathering insights on the LGBT community since the early 90s, which means they probably have a ton of data about frosted tips.

Youthful LGBT, who are aware that Clinton vocally opposed marriage equality, are leaning Sanders.
Middle-aged LGBT, who remember Hillary’s support for DADT, DOMA and NAFTA, are leaning Sanders.
The only locations where we have actual facts, Iowa and New Hampshire, show that only core group that Hillary wins is the very aged Reagan Democrats.
Hillary is now polling to lose in Nevada and now South Carolina is trending Sanders.
Can we stop the silly promotion of a Reagan Democrat who has supported four out of four military actions and regime change schemes that are just creating blow-back and growing ISIS? Although we can now serve in the military, we shouldn’t volunteer to DIE in the foolish imperialism and self-created enemies.

I just want someone who will be cagey enough to deal with Republican obstructionists. If Bern performs as badly as he did on the PBS debate Feb 11, this frail bird may lose. This election is too important to lose. I want someone with experience and a plan. Bern gave superficial, nothing burger answered about the Middle East. Hillary rocked! Total control and poise and grace. We need a strong leader.

It’s not really strange if you factor in that lots of LGBT voters have concerns outside of LGBT issues. Maybe they like her plans for combating terrorism, better gun control laws, affordable healthcare, restoring the economy, etc. I prefer Sanders but not solely because of his LGBT support.

The Sanders supporters are starting to panic. Their “revolution” is fading but a close race would not fit the media’s narrative. Sanders will do well in Nevada. It’s a caucus state which requires a certain fervor among supporters. South Carolina is a lock and it proves that Sanders cannot get the minority vote. Now it’s just a question of time as things crumble. Al Sharpton’s endorsement of Hillary is forthcoming; that’s a major loss.

Before everybody starts behaving like the GOP remember one thing.
EITHER Hillary or Bernie are light years better on LGBT rights than ANY of the republican candidates.
The people they mention as the most Moderate, Marco Rubio and John Kasich are both very anti-gay with Rubio pulling together people to work out how to make same sex marriage illegal again and Kasich who fought a long battle as governor of Ohio against LGBT rights bills.
So instead of getting petty and nasty, pick the candidate you like, but if the other one wins the primary, suck it up and vote for them.
We have multiple other Supreme Court justices that are in their 80’s and waiting to retire, and unless you want a President Trump or Cruz to appoint replacements for Ginsberg and Bryer, we all need to come out to support the eventual nominee.

IF Bernie wins the presidency, he will accomplish nothing and get nothing done at first, because all of his proposals will require a super majority. And that super majority will only be achieved if his core supporters turn out during the mid terms and sweep more democrats into power…

Wow, would have thought that the Gay Democratic Establishment would be considered a bad thing? Here’s a thought, given Bernie is unelectable in the General Election and wouldn’t be able to deliver any of what he is promising if elected, this election is ALL ABOUT Supreme Court nominations. It took Hillary until 2013 to express her support for Marriage Equality. I guess seeing her lavender dollars evaporate forced her to get onboard.
But, at the end of the day, Hillary is a political opportunist. If public opinion on Marriage Equality turned south, she would stick her finger in the wind and announce that she too had changed her mind on marriage.

She was on the board for Walmart the largest corporation for gender discrimination, she and her husband flew first class to see a black man executed with an IQ of 70. She had opposed of same-sex marriage until it was politically convenient for her. She publicly (verbally) attacked the women who accused her husband of sexual assault. She insinuated that single mothers were deadbeats, insinuated that black men were ‘super predators’

While it’s true that he would have a hard time getting things passed of what he wants to do, he has said numerous times he can’t do it alone. You need to get out there and VOTE in democrats that can MAKE it happen, not settle for something less because it’s easy.

I think Hillary is more well rounded, and she will probably do just as much for LGBTQ rights as Bernie would. Bernie may have been a longer supporter, but that doesn’t make him fit for presidency.

I won’t be voting for Hillary. She’s a fake. To those who say that she’s the best alternative to a Right-Wing President, all I can say is that I don’t vote negatively. A negative vote for Hillary will not advance our rights.
Hillary has spent decades in politics (as wife and senator) and yet I cannot think of one achievement in the male homosexual rights area. Not one. She hasn’t done anything, folks. List me one achievement of hers if you can. Putting out glossy ads showing gay people doesn’t count.
Her husband Bill Clinton curtailed our rights through horrendously anti-gay legislation like DOMA and DADT.
As for Ellen, what has she ever done for our rights too? She’s made a ton of money as poster-child, I grant you that.

Bernie is a one issue guy. He thinks that by opposing Wall Street and big banks, all of America’s problems will be solved.
Hillary has the all the experience and qualifications necessary to be president. In addition, she has the practical ideas and solutions that could actually happen. Bernie is making promises he can’t keep.
