In case you needed any more fuel to add to the Donald Trump hate fire, new polling out of South Carolina says 31 percent of his supporters would support banning gays from the United States. Good luck with that.
The numbers come from Public Policy Polling, which has just released a ton of info taken from surveys of voters who plan to vote in Saturday’s Republican Primary.
Of course, Trump leads in virtually every category, but one answer from Trump supporters gives us more than a bit of pause:

They have a higher age of consent for homosexual acts, but otherwise no civil or criminal restrictions. Locally there are some provinces which criminalize it. But in the US, despite rulings by the SCOTUS, there are still 14 states that keep laws criminalizing “sodomy” on the books and have made no effort to repeal them. Things have only “wound up so good for gays” very recently in this country, so we (you actually) are in no position to deride other countries for their positions with such haughtiness.

Almost 5% of Canada’s population is Muslim, and most of them are second generation (like myself) and are very much western – We love our country and countrymen and see no other home other than where we were born, much like Muslim Americans do I am sure.

Here is the definition of hydrophobia: An extreme or irrational fear of water, especially as a symptom of rabies in humans.

I’m looking at the Muslim immigration rate to the US from the 1970s till now, add on top of that the normal birth rate, and we can calculate the normal rate of growth when comparing it to 2016 – if everything continues being constant in immigration and birthrates, Muslims will become the majority in the US in a bit over two thousand years.

As for what happened in Britain, specifically in Rotherham – where does it say Muslims? It’s an investigation that span from 1997 – 2003, talking about an organized gang of “Asian Men” kidnapping children – im not sure I understand how is this related to your point.
The article from the “American thinker” is interesting, it only documents one instance of harassment by one refugee against a gay refugee. It also says 50,000 gay Iraqi and Syrian refugees are currently in Germany – the writer jokes “that many gay people in Islam”? You really take your information from people like this?
As for what is happening in the Netherlands, that is something for the government there to deal with; the article from the Torontosun proves that those challenges are also faced by gay men and woman across the US too. The law of the land protects the gay community, not you joey or anyone else.

Get a grip fool! Accepting a story as true in no way implies “heterophobia”, and ACTUALLY READING SOMETHING IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT NEWS SOURCES, AS WELL AS HEARING IT ON THE RADIO shows pretty conclusively that is is not the product of my “overactive fears and imagination”. It shows you imagination at work attributing motives to people you have no knowledge of with no evidence to base your attribution on.
And please, illuminate me as to how the actual reality of antisemitism has anything to do with self-hatred? And why you project that image on me when it is clearly entirely the product og your mental illness. You sound more and more foolish and impaired with each comment you make.

I pointed the statistics out regarding right wing vs islamist violence in the US, but he does not understand the difference between facts and anecdotes, and finds his imagination to be more real than either. His notion of me as a “self hating Jew” comes essentially from my not resembling his imagined image of Jews. Pointing out that his imagination regarding Israeli actions in censoring a book was more likely to be false than the statements from the Israeli government regarding it, pointing out that he was wrong regarding his understanding of marriage law in Israel, and my belief that both Israelis and Palestinians are flawed in their approach to their problems all make me a “self-hating Jew” in his mind.
As others have pointed out he is crippled from the depth of his assumptions and prejudices. His world is very different from the one most people live in.

I have lived in the Bay Area for almost 45 years, most of that in SF with a 12 year stint in Oakland. I am well aware of the realities of and changes in life for gay folks here. I think that joeyty lives in some imaginary world, so where he actually resides is irrelevant.
This past Friday someone actually verbally harassed me from a passing truck on Market and Douglass, two blocks from my house. I was dressed in my work clothes and headed over the hill to visit friends in Cole Valley. He was stopped at the light and as I passed whistled as one might to get someone’s attention. When I looked he gave me the finger. I just gave him a dirty look and walked on. He then “wolf whistled”, and when i ignored that called me a “faggot” before the light changed and he drove on. That has not happened to me in many years. Things have changed here, and violence against LGBT people has been very much on the rise.
But in joety’s world all that matters is what is in his mind. So to him a news story with several witnesses to corroborate it is a lie, whereas an anonymous comment on the story defaming the alleged victim is truth with no judgement!

This is really misrepresenting the data. The 20% were not all Trump supporters. It was 20% of the survey. 10% said they feel whites are the superior race, and 25% said they wished the south won the war. It’s the same as lying when you take data and try to fit a certain conclusion for an article. If you start with a headline and cherry pick the survey data to prove your results, then you really should have someone else doing yourjob, Nothing personal and I dont know any other work this blog poster has done.

@joeyty: we gave them a reality show and we all could have kept an eye on them but no one found them that exciting and the show was pulled. How would the whole “ban” work anyway. Wouldn’t they just lie to get in if they were devious musilms. You think these imaginary evil Muslims are willing to kill thousands but are not able to say “I am Christan” to get in the country. @joeyty: maybe you should get your reports of news from actual reporters and not opinion essays and tiny blogs that post the same agenda over and over so that people can point to them like they are a legit source. I looked at most the links you posted and saw not one from a real paper or outlet in the “news” section. The one from the toronto i think was someone giving an “opinion” essay. which means “The content doesn’t need be factual, doesn’t get checked and they can say whatever they want, its not a fact its an opinion” Its my opinion you really need to stay away from reading the comments section. This has upset you far too much
