A Lesson In Gay Subtext

Clay Aiken may deny his homosexuality, but there's no denying what's happening between these lines:

Clay Aiken and a bevy of male chorus dancers partied into the wee hours at Cain nightclub over the weekend.

The group was celebrating the forthcoming Off-Broadway show, "Idol: The Musical" which is all about Clay and his "Claymates," the fans who love him. The guaranteed-to-be-a-classic show begins previews July 5.

Spies say the group ordered multiple bottles of Snow Queen vodka and poured into cabs together after a long night.

Snow Queen vodka, huh? Guess they were out of semen sangria.

Clay Aiken is in LA rehearsing for his tour that starts in 5 days.

That's how many times you idiots have been caught lying? I've lost count.

But Clay doesn't deny he's gay, he just refuses to talk about it. He's in a pretty sweet place right now, he goes out and lives his life and no matter what he does, the right wing Christian branch of his fandom ignores it, says it's lies, and still insists he's a sweet, virginal, heterosexual choirboy.

Carol, Carol, Carol, give it a rest sweetie. The Claymates have been creaming themsleves over a sighting of Clay on a flight from NY to LA on Saturday. That leaves plenty of time for him to be out partying in NYC "over the weekend."

And here I thought that openly hags have already moved on to spreading the lies about Chris and Blake. I guess old habits die hard, and you still can't resist going after Clay when you get a chance.

And Clay doesn't discuss his sexuality any more because there's no point. No matter what he says, gay bloggers and fag hags will not stop lying about him to anyone who is stupid enough to listen.

Carol, do you have actual information that Clay is straight? Or is it simply that you prefer to think everyone's straight until proven gay? If I were "spreading the lies" that Rupert Everett, say, was straight, would you be just as hysterical as you are on the subject of Clay's sexuality?

Just curious.

"Carol, do you have actual information that Clay is straight?"

Yes, Ken, I do. He has been dating women since high school and has never been interested in men. People who are close to him know that, and know these women, and so do those who work with him.

And I'm not at all hysterical about it. It's simply a fact of life that a certain part of the population refuses to accept.

Do you ever wonder why, when almost everyone has a camera phone these days, they have never been able to capture Clay's picture with a man, and have resorted to making the ridiculously phony photoshops like the one above to "prove" their point? Or why the only man who claims to have had sex with Clay Aiken is a former Green Beret who chickened out of going to Korea, hasn't paid any of his bills since leaving the military, sponged off his mom and desperately wanted a shot at fame and a career in porn? Anyone who really follows the story and that guy's blog knows by now that he's a full of shit crazy stalker, but that does not matter people who have made it their life's mission to out Clay Aiken. If lies are repeated often enough and in many different forms, eventually they are perceived to be the truth, and that's what is happening here. For several years now, nothing but lies.

Oh, honey, you must live in the Boonies to fall for THAT one. I've probably boned more women than Clay ever will and I'm a card-carrying out-and-proud pansy!

Good for you, but what does that prove about Clay?

It "proves" that his saying he's straight and his "dating" women doesn't "prove" anything about Aiken's (I don't know him so I don't call him by his first name) sexuality.

The only thing it proves is that you don't believe him. So what?

So, you can never take things for face value - especially something that is said by celebrities.

Mind you, celebrities must always be on the look-out for "model" behaviour and "appropriate" comments when in the eye of the public. If not, you fall into the scrutiny born onto Mel Gibson, Isaiah Washington, Danny DeVito, and Kramer (just to name a few).

Not everything is what it seems on the surface, Carol, and this applies to EVERYONE, most especially celebrities. Nothing is as picture-perfect as it seems.

I am more curious about the musical — if it's about Clay and his Claymates, why would they need a bunch of MALE chorus dancers? We all know that Claymates are predominately females. Besides, if it's a musical about Idol, shouldn't they just hire actors and singers portraying the various roles of the real Idol casts, instead of a background chorus?

Needless to say, it seems a bit self-indulgent to me. I hear Fantasia is doing great on Broadway — Mr. Aiken should go that route too.

"I hear Fantasia is doing great on Broadway — Mr. Aiken should go that route too." He'd be great as Mary Poppins.

Spiffy, there are no male chorus dancers in that show. You've been lied to yet again.

Here's a casting announcement from Broadway world: http://www.broadwayworld.com/v.....olid=19481

That's a nice observation, Martini-boy, but it works both ways. Not every guy who has been targeted by the gay media is actually gay.

I'm glad Clay got out to have some fun with some friends. Doesn't prove anything except gay people are fun to party with. If Clay tells me he's gay I'll embrace him just like I do now. I just don't see him as being the kind of guy that would hide it-he's outspoken, liberal minded and a take me as I am kind of guy. He wouldn't lose that many fans, only a small vocal minority.

Carol, I acknowledge that not everyone that the gay media targets is gay. In a number of cases, the media's assumptions are just hopeless dreams.

BUT, my previous post was mainly about how celebrities consistently walk on egg-shells. I said nothing about Clay being gay; just about how wearisome you must be with any celebrity statement.

Case in point: Paris Hilton and her bible-reading (aka spiritual) ways behind bars…
