For straights it’s that hypocritical “up the ass” argument. But look how much straight porn glorifies anal sex and the huge fascination with “chicks with dicks”. There is a huge market for that type of smut and the gay boys aren’t buying it.

I really don't understand it. A guy I know, an older married man, has two friends he hangs with all the time. One is a man who is a rabid atheist, the other is a lesbian. Despite being very religous he is fine with the atheism and the lesbianism, yet he freely admits he can't deal with gay men, and the reason is the idea of two men having sex. He's basically a nice guy, he'd never vote against gay rights, and he knows he is being ridiculous, yet he just can't get past his distaste for the idea of two men having sex. I don't know how to change people like that.

I have no numbers to support this, but I get the sense it may have to do with there being more beautiful women than handsome men… :(

Why were the photos in the ABC article of gays and lesbians rather than bisexuals? Could they not even come up with one bi celebrity?

You should ask that guy why he automatically imagines 2 guys having sex in the first place. I mean, I can't help but wonder why grossed out "straight" guys need to constantly think about gay dudes fucking. Why? To keep reminding themselves how straight they are? Please.
