Adam Lambert Dishes On Queen Rumors, Nicki Minaj And His New Music Video

If there’s anything celebrities love more than people gossiping about them it’s being coy about rumors. Out Grammy nominee Adam Lambert went on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz yesterday and, when way-too-perky hostess Carrie Keagan finally let him get a word in edgewise, he addressed the ongoing chatter that he’s going to be the new front man for Queen: “I may be doing something with them [but] I’m not joining the band,” he says. “I’ve got my own album to promote this year.”

Fans will have to wait a little bit longer for that album, though: Trespassing‘s release has been pushed back from March 20 to the rather vague date of “Mapril,” as Lambert told  Z100.

“I know it’s hard, but it’s not finished,” said Adam. “It needs to be finished. There are new songs we are doing last minute that are really good. Dr. Luke songs, so they are really good and very radio. It’s all for the best, even though it’s a tough thing to ask to wait. I want the album to be amazeballs.”

In the clip above, Lambert discusses the video for his first single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” saying it illustrates the “struggle between light and dark” in all of us. We don’t know about all that but Lambert does look sexier than ever in the video. Is he finally moving away from that whole glam Liberace style? (Please, please, please.)

If you can’t wait till “Mapril,” you can always catch Lambert when he performs at Logo’s New Now Next Awards on April 9.
