Following Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey’s recent departure from the American Idol franchise, Adam Lambert said that he would love to join as a judge.
“Dude if they called me, ‘I’d be like yeah. Where do I sign?’,” the Idol alum told HollywoodLife. “It would be a really cool opportunity to help people coming into the show and to help them keep their vision focused because it does become overwhelming when you get in there.”
The often-flamboyant pop star added: “I think it might be nice as a judge to help people stay focused. It gets crazy and to help them reach their dreams — it would be such a reward.”
There is a chance this that Lambert could be called up to return. It was confirmed that another Idol alum, Jennifer Hudson, is in negotiations to become a judge next season. Perhaps they’ll enlist a full team of alums to be judges — they have enough to go through!

I would only watch IDOL if Adam were a judge. He’s witty, articulate, not afraid to be objective and he can sing! What a concept. There are so many great singers on the Voice and the judges are just average to me. But that’s the music world. It’s often not about talent or Adam would be the biggest star out there IMO.

Maybe if he would stay sober and not attack anyone….
