We’re sure Brian Dunlap, the chief operating officer of amateur porn website CorbinFisher.com, really does believe in the freedom of speech. After all, his website is based on the very principle — and Supreme Court decisions upholding it. But CorbinFisher.com’s letter to the FCC supporting Adam Lambert’s right to make out with other men on television can really only be interpreted one way: publicity stunt.
How else to get the name of your porn website into the press? For now, it’s just the adult industry press covering their move, but it’s one we can certainly get behind, particularly because it directly challenges claims made by the bigots at the Liberty Counsel.
Then again, maybe this is just the ramp up for CorbinFisher.com to expand on its six-figure “masturbate to completion” offers to supposedly controversial young men.

Don’t make Adam one of your pawns…He is a great entertainer and him AMA;s was not that bad…I think straight people can intermingle with men and women when they are in the entertainment field…to me that is what Adam should do cause it is the women that will buy the records…So if he isn’t turned on by a woman lets just make good entertainmeent and I am not bias one way or another cause I buried a 23 year old son, who was gay, and we have a lesbian in our family so it doesn’t shock me but it won’t bring him any brownie points if he keeps up with the men only in his career…He just startedd it and I love him as a lot of older women do…His voice is fantastic…seen him on AI tour and he was great…
romeo
Quit wasting our time here, Dianna. No one’s making Adam a pawn. But he’s part of our world, and we can comment on him here if we want to. Most people are supportive of him here.
You want to make him for “women only,” then go the fuck over to AdamOfficial, his website, where the women chase all the gay men away and regularly post anti-gay forums so the broads can “help” Adam go straight.
If anything ruins his career, it will be the crazy-assed, delusional broads that turn people sour on him. You’re not helping him here. YOU’RE HURTING HIM WITH YOUR BULLSHIT.
Mike in Asheville, nee "in Brooklyn"
Publicity stunt or not, at least it got Queerty to post a CorbinFisher.com picture!
Perhaps the best result would be for the folks at CorbinFisher lend Lambert a “hand” at how to be alluring, desirable, and just, down-right sexy!

That all you learned out of that experience?
Don’t make Adam one of your pawns
And who the fuck are you to come onto a queer site and tell us what we can or cannot say or do?
You’re just another “We don’t hate the homosexual, we just hate the sin” asshat. Your gay son must be rolling over in his grave.
Please do us a favor and find another site to blog on.

Well, I hope it is okay that I comment here since I have no hate for anyone and no gay family to claim, Ha! Ha! I just happen to love Adam. I am an older female fan and I get very involved in my support of Adam. I love his music, is that okay with everyone? I also happen to think he is the sexiest thing ever and certainly doesn’t need lessons, at least from a woman’s perspective. I don’t care what he does or who he does it with, I just hope to get to enjoy being entertained by him for a long, long time. I don’t see Adam as being the type of person that would want to divide, I think he would prefer to bring people together, the music can do that if we can focus on it.
staciegirlie
Romeo, though I don’t read all the boards on Adam Official, they seem quite welcoming to gay men. Why would they want to be mean to gay men when their precious idol is also gay? Look at it this way, I’m going to quote myself from something I said on youtube the other day. “Yep, Adam will melt them all with his glittery space alien charm from planet fierce. See how he won over Elizabeth Hasslebeck and Sherri from the view?”
Adam is so charming, and such a beacon oozing kazillions of sexual energy, he even has some straight MEN commenting on his looks, charm, etc. Naturally, people would want this beautiful creature for themselves no matter who they are.
romeo
Stacie: One of my best friends used to hang out over there, and he told me that it was always hard for gay guys, but they had a real scene recently with guys forums being erased by those harpies and anti-gay forums being put up. I think that site is nuts myself, but I’ve looked at it a few times, and it was obvious what the general idea was. They need intelligent administrators over there, because what’s going on is only going to drag Adam down, and I want him to succeed.
and Lisa, you’re not getting the big picture.
Robert
Romeo, what is the big picture? Lisa seems all right by me. Why are so many first reactions to pounce?
islasands
As a gay person and fan of Adam Lambert I’ve been interested in the phenomenon of heterosexual (female)fan love support of a young gay singer. During Idol women began following this man in droves and for a while I felt dubious about their motivations. Gay culture has long been hijacked as a sex toy for heterosexual play.
Gay relationships in film and television are invariably stamped with heterosexual sterotypes of the “gay” male. Gay men are portrayed as having a feminized preoccupation with physical appearance, dating trauma and the trivial ups and downs of domesticity. They are seldom, if ever, played in the -heterosexual -round of raunchy sex, dirty betrayals, dangerous affairs, cruel abandonment of partners or children, villains who get the good guy, good guys who catch the villain etc. They are safely camp, occasionally display romanticised vulnerability as lovers, and are quick with snark and the comeback lines.
Over time, however, and falling under Lambert’s spell myself, I think his followers, whether male or female, are in fact the groundswell of fan love for an iconic artist. The gay community, which in general has been outright derisive of Lambert, is gradually coming on board, and many young gay men are appearing on his fansites and twitter account to stake their claim.
It’s fascinating stuff. Lambert’s AMA performance did not so much open a door to self-determined freedom of expression for a gay artist as it blasted it off its hinges. It was possibly the most liminal, polarizing and mesemerizing performance on the Western stage since Prince last strutted his stuff wearing chaps.
I have visited Adam’s official site for several months now, and as can be expected the fans there are hugely protective of Lambert and will not tolerate the slightest whiff of homophobia. There have been, however, a few die hard morality police who have tried to quench the enthusiasm of Adam’s straight female fans. But they seem to have left the site, taking their fears and ignorance with them. Lately, a very few gay guys have appeared on the site, ready to claim Adam as their own, not realizing they are jumping on board a canoe that other people have been paddling for quite some time. Hah! Everyone want’s a piece of this guy.
romeo
There were gay guys there from the beginning. My friend was one of them. But he got tired of putting up with the crap there.
Isla you wrote:

You do understand how possessive and exclusionary this sounds? And why this attitude may have made gay men feel unwelcome when they did try to participate. Gay people had all kinds of complicated reactions to Adam, but he always had a lot of gay supporters. I think my friend is perfectly correct about what is going on at AdamOfficial.
Lisa
Romeo – please do explain the big picture to me. I don’t see why we can’t love Adam the entertainer and not have every discussion turn into something more. Why does there have to be a big picture to everything? I am a devoted fan, I lead the Florida Glambs International and I can’t wait to get to see Adam perform live. I am totally accepting of his lifestyle and of yours, whatever that may be, I don’t even care. So, again, please show me the big picture so I can understand what you are referring to.

Oh, and girls, this thread is all about a porn website talking Adam into doing some gay porn. How do you stand on this? LOL
romeo
Lisa, Lisa, this is a gay website with gay guys. We go through this every time an Adam thread goes up. You want to talk about Adam from a straight woman’s viewpoint. We want to talk about Adam from a gay man’s viewpoint. Because the women will start flooding this thread, the gay guys won’t want to post. Plus we can’t say the kinds of things we would ordinarily say to each other because of all the women here. Adam has a dick, we have a dick, our perspective is different than yours.
Go to AdamOfficial.com, that’s all women/all the time. LOL

It’s a gay website, Dave. But we did some “post-gay” bullshit a while back. Very interesting. Delusional posts in there, too.

Co-sign, Robert. Lisa seems alright to me as well.
Lisa, an an old man of 73 who has seen enough shit in my lifetime to make a sailors eyes bulge, I can tell you that femaleaphobia can and does exist in the gay men’s world as well as within the lesbian camp where maleaphobia also.
That said, it makes it all the more difficult for me to understand why any LGTB person might object when a member of the straight community who is open and accepting of the gay lifestyle, as you appear to be, gets treated in such a deferential manner on a gay blog such as Queerty.
As Dave said in no. 16, anyone can post on any blog anywhere. And Adam Lambert is his own man, and he is free to portray himself in any way that he chooses. Even though everyone wants a piece of him, no one owns him.
So, you go right on admiring Adam, along with everyone else, sweetheart. It’s your right to do so, whatever your motivations are and who the hell has the right to tell you whether you should be posting here or not? You post any ole time you feel like it, hon.

Adam in porn? That would be a nice sight, hehehe. *wipes drool away from keyboard*
But no. I don’t think Adam should do ANY type of porn. He gets enough flack as it is. Dang, he couldn’t even simulate a bj and kiss his hawt bassist without everyone (including some of the gay community) getting their britches in a wad.
I loved Adam’s AMA performance, though a little concerned for him immediately afterwards. I can’t wait to see how racy he gets when he goes out on his very own tour.

It’s a shame your friend wasn’t a bit more persistent. As I mentioned in my previous post, Adamofficial had it’s share of site police who variously attacked people, straight or gay, male or female, for what they considered to be “inappropriate sexual content”. A few moaners might have protested from time to time regarding the recurring threads about gay rights, but their voices scarcely registered. Why? Because quite apart from the squee factor in fan love for Adam Lambert, many fans were there to support him as a singer, as a person (with family, friends and a partner), and as a gay man.
As a gay, indigenous person on the Aspergers spectrum, I’ve had plenty of experience dealing with the exclusionary and marginalizing socio-political practices of a dominant culture. But like Lambert, I am not every gay person. Nor am I every indigenous person or every person with different-mindedness. My sexual orientation, the colour of my skin, and the way my brain works has nothing to do with who I am as a person. They have certainly involved me in never-ending battles for equal rights and self-determination, but my character, if you like, has been shaped by people who love me, education opportunities and support in following my chosen profession. I’ve been fortunate in regard to each of those.
My remark about the fans on Adamofficial simply pointed out that most of the fans there were supporting him as an artist who happens to be gay, and not the other way around. Adam himself, as an artist, is claiming the right to be taken as such. I dare say he is hoping that his private life will be off limits.
Adam’s sexually charged performance on the AMA stage was NOT real life. Ask Adam about that. He is very clear about the difference between the illusory (of the stage) and real life. He was performing a sexy song, and it was all illusion, all “for your entertainment”. But will the gay or straight worlds allow him the equal right to simply be an entertainer? Or is he doomed to forever being read as a “gay” man doing sexy “gay” things on stage?
Why can’t he be sexy as f*ck and leave it at that? As Adam says, it’s all apples and oranges. Sexy is sexy, and if he’s too gay for you, or he’s not gay enough, then maybe he’s not the right singer for you, and is not therefore a likey candidate for inspiring gay or any other kind of porn. His hope is that people – gay or straight, old or young – will be inspired to buy his records and attend his concerts.
Unless gay men have ears on their dicks, I don’t see that they are more likely to “get” either Adam Lambert’s singing OR his sex appeal than heterosexual men and women. The two – the singing and sexual energies – are inseparable for Lambert, just as they were for Freddie.
He’s enough of an inspiration to me, on both counts, for me to fly from New Zealand to LA to see him headlining the Gridlock New Year’s Eve concert. And no, I can’t afford it, but WTH, it’s a once in a life time opportunity. Maybe I’ll bump into some of you boys there!
BTW Twatter is far more fun than fan sites… just sayin.
Ricky
To say that this website is a “gay” site is in itself discriminatory. Gay allies aren’t allowed here? Really? And gay men are not the only gay people to read these articles… there are lesbians too! As well as the rest of LGBT family. And hell, there may even be some supporters.
Furthermore, Adam Lambert does not belong to any one of us! He performs for us and entertains us but he does not belong to us. Both the crazed-fanfemales who get hateful and the bitchy-dudes who get possesive need to back off… chances are he isn’t gonna touch anything of yours other than your ear drums!
romeo
Islasands, I was being ironic in my posts. My point is not that far from yours. The gay men here are not the ones being possessive.
And Ricky, let me point this out to you as well, the gay men here are not the ones being possessive. Nor do we want to restrict this site to only gay men. But what happens with Adam threads is we get pushed out. We get pushed out everywhere else in the real world. We have a particular point of view that women very rarely understand. As a consequence, gay men are not able to participate fully in these threads, so they stay off the Adam threads generally. Why should that be the case at a gay site? Look at the title of this site, and look at its mission statement. There are buttloads of Adam sites where women can do their thing.
And as for who is coming in here, I generally don’t see much support of us. Straights come into all the threads, almost always to insult, humiliate, preach at us, threaten us with death (I kid you not), etc.. This is a place where we speak our minds. You all want to come here to support us, great, but get a clue that you’re going to read things you may not understand at first, or maybe not at all. But that’s the way it is.
The opinions here run the gamut. There’s guys like me, and there’s guys like Dave, who apparently doesn’t want to be gay and doesn’t want gay sites to exist. That’s Dave’s problem. Most of us here are more realistic, and we want to talk about it.
Hi, Stacie. I’m in a rare mood today. There’s been some royal battles on this site today, and I’m pissing on everybody. LOL
Sas
I google Adam Lambert’s name from time to time and tonight this site came up in one of the searches. For the record, I am a straight female, 55 years (young) and love Adam’s musical talent, his charisma and his sexiness. I don’t want to change Adam to a heterosexual, I like his just the way he is. I just want Adam to be who he wants to be. I want to say Kudos to you for your site and giving yourself a place to celebrate your sexuality. It is unfortunate that some of you did not feel welcomed at other Adam sites.
I’ll answer your question. How do I feel about Adam doing gay porn? I think he would burn up the screen, make you want more and keep you under that “Adam spell”. Personally I would love to see Adam do gay porn. I think he’d have a blast doing it. My only concern, is that it may hurt his musical career, because we all know the backlash he got from the AMA performance, and he consequently lost fans, which means less album sales..so unfortunateluy it hits in the pocketbook. If I thought there were enough “open minded” fans, such as myself, especially female fans, who could embrace Adam doing gay porn and still support his musical career, I would say “go for it”. That would be a choice Adam would have to make. But hey, if you do get him to make a gay porn movie, I hope it’s well advertised because I’d Love to buy it.
Sas
oops..sorry spelling mistake. I meant to say “I like him just the way he is”.

Romeo, your comments sure hit home.
I have been coming to this site just about every day for a long time now and consider myself an active blogger. In that time, I have seen a long string of the kind of straights that you have described and I do not mind telling you that it is very distressing.
You are very right when you say that we get pushed out of a lot of places in the real world. We gays have had to get a handle on being pushed out of so many things; love, home, family, friendships, apartments and jobs, just to name a few.
If Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Masons, Rotary, 4-H and other special interest groups can have their own little clubs to share their own particular interests without fear of intrusion, insult, humiliation, preaching and threatening physical harm and death, then why should we not be able to have a space of our in which to do that?
We do battle with one straight bigot for weeks, even months at a time and if we are successful in getting him banned or he simply looses interest, another one (or two) soon show up to pick up where the last one left off. It makes one wonder how so many idiot manage to find their way to our door.
Having thugs like this landing heavily on us distracting, derails the subject of the thread and the conversation and generally gets everyone pissed off, much like thrusting a stink into a hornets nest and stirring it around, which of course is the desired effect by such asshats. It’s how they get their jollies.
At times, it has becomes so distressing that I have actually said to myself “That’s it…I’m not doing this anymore.” It’s just not worth the effort trying to win over the minds of idiots who have no interest in being “won over”, much less, understanding our point of view or becoming supportive us as a minority group.
Then I remember nice folks like you and others who come here a lot too and I think to myself, by not coming here, all I am doing is depriving myself of the camaraderie that we enjoy as caring, kindly and supportive gay people.
I just wanted to let you know that I really heard what you were saying and that you have my support. 🙂

I want to apologize. I jumped in on a conversation that interests me (as a gay person and fan of Adam Lambert) without stopping to think that this site represents a community, one to which I do not belong.
If someone walked in a discussion being held by my whanau (family) or tribal community (hapu) and expected to join in uninvited, they would be told to tell their story walking pal. That’s not about exclusion, but manners.
I apologize for my bad manners. I am interested in joining your discussion. If you are happy for me to do that, let me know.

Excuse me for invading, I just wanted to share something I found on AO. I am a straight woman who loves Adam for his talent, beauty, honesty and courage.

I am not a member of Adam Official. This was a link I that was tweeted by another AL fan:

It’s a speech given by Eber Lambert on what it was like raising a straight son and a gay son. I thought you might find it interesting.
I will now leave you to your community.

I just want to say thanks to all of you for your thoughts, opinions and honesty. I have visited this site regularly since becoming an Adam fan and I will continue to come here to gather more knowledge and other perspectives that I may not be exposed to in my regular day to day life. I participate in many Adam fan sites, not bothering to see what audience they might be geared towards. I want you all to know that I have been in a heated battle with my 80 year old mother over my support of Adam. I refuse to allow her to make me feel ashamed of my interest in Adam. Funny thing is that I look back over my life and see how many gay men that I have had very close friendships with. My first date, when I was 12, turn out to be gay and I believe I was the first person that he opened up to. I see no reason that I can’t come and enjoy being a part of your group. Please don’t try to exclude me. I like it here, you all have made me laugh and I enjoy anyone that can bring a smile to my face. I am completely open to being educated on your lifestyle and I promise, if it gets to be more than I can handle, I will slip away quietly and go back to Adamofficial.com. If any of you are interested, I do run the Florida Glamb Group at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/GlambsFlorida/ I would love to have all of you come join. We are not nearly as interesting as you guys but you might be able to laugh at us. That is another thing that I think we all need to see in Adam, although the issues may be serious, the best way to break the barriers is to laugh at and with one another. I really like all of you. Hope you feel the same.

Lisa you seem like a nice person. Did you read the blog header?
“Queerty, Free of an agenda except that gay one.”
Honestly? It’s not Queerty posters’ job or interest to do much interactive “educating”. If you can’t be educated by all this lurking you’ve claimed to do then I don’t know what to tell you. LOL For a start, go get some real life gay friends for goodness sakes. SRSLY
Your post #7 to me reads as finger wagging about “the music” and “focus on the music”. Frankly, how dare you direct people what to focus on. It’s a GAY AGENDA here. The thread is nothing about “the music” but it went over your head like all the other influx of women drawn by an Adam headline over and over and over. OR you chose to dismiss the reason for the thread and redirect the dialogue.
This thread is political about the FCC. But the humor of Adam doing porn went right over the heads of you guys LOL. Also, Queerty is mostly men and gay men are no different than hetero men in the respect that they weary of hearing women drone on and on in their space.
Even staciegirlie who should get it by now. [sorry, gurl love ya but really ? you didnt get that? yes I was laughing cuz Romeo was having fun with you lol :)]
That just proves inexperienced straights can’t get much “education” so easily from internet osmosis. Go live reality like volunteering to work a political phonebank where you might actually meet real LGBT people. And let the Queerty members do their thing.

I’m disappointed to see that some think that this was merely a commercial publicity stunt. “Dave”‘s comment (#5) is truly disappointing.
We took this action after serious deliberation about how homophobic the Liberty Counsel’s complaint was – and we took a stand.
Perhaps it could be characterized as a publicity stunt, but I hardly think that this was going to get us a single extra signup. On the other hand, if it shines a spotlight on a festering cockroach carrying a stinking bundle of bigotry, then that is the kind of “publicity” that we were looking for.
This company is quite successful, and its management has made a conscious decision to devote a portion of that success and its financial and human resources to fighting homophobia wherever it may rear its head.
I, for one, am tremendously proud to be a part of that.
