Adolf Hitler’s Parents Fight to Get Him Back

Remember 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, and his sisters Joyce Lynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 1, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, 9 months? They were the little kids who were removed from their New Jersey home last week. (Of course, that wasn’t their first time in the spotlight: When Adolf’s parents once tried getting him a birthday cake, the bake shop refused to put the child’s name on a cake.) Now parents Deborah and Heath, who lack adorable White Power names themselves, are trying to get their kids back.

New Jersey authorities took custody of three children with Nazi-themed names because of bogus allegations of abuse in the household, the children’s mother said Tuesday.

Deborah Campbell said a neighbor made allegations that the children had been abused and that Campbell’s husband, Heath Campbell, had abused her.

“My husband and I would never abuse our children, and he would never harm anybody,” she said.

Campbell said Tuesday she was taking the extraordinary step of speaking out, in violation of a Hunterdon County family court order over the custody dispute, in an attempt to find affordable legal representation to win custody. [Express-Times]

Now if we were in Germany, it wouldn’t matter whether there was actual physical violence against the kids; merely naming your child “Adolf Hitler” is a crime.

The parents are idiots for giving their kids terrible names. However, I wonder what real proof the state has that the kids were abused.

In Germany, the child wouldn’t even be allowed to be named that, so such a comparison is nugatory.

It seems like the state really screwed up here and should be sued.

I think the kids’ names qualify as cruel and unusual punishment.

If these stupid a-holes are so in love with Hitler why don’t they change THEIR names and not set their poor kids up for a lifetime of harassment and ridicule?
Straight people are so annoying sometimes.

Because defying a court order is a great way to get the judge on your side!

Their kids were taken away because of the families belief. If there was proof of abuse you know Social Services would have had it all over the news. Idiots for the name but not a crime.

THe parents have the right to name their kids whatever they want. The kids have a right to be free of harrassment due to their names. If they were indeed abused, the kids should be sent somewhere safe. If the children have not been abused, the kids should be returned to their parents. The only reason this story is making national headlines like it is, is because of the kids’ names.

Adults can do whatever they want, be part of whatever organization they want, whatever religion or belief system. But when a adults actions and beliefs start affecting the well being of their children then the state has every right to intervene. These parents do not care about their children, nor their well being, nor the experiences they may have in life. Its just like the Phelps children. Why has nobody removed those children from that home? Not because of what the parents do but because of what they force their children to do. To be a part of protest where they hold up signs using profane speech, have objects and insults thrown at them. This is all abusive to children and sick and we wonder why there are so many fucked up adults out there.

I agree with Michael, No. 11 completely. Also, I’m tired of you extreme liberals. You think a parent should be able to name their child whatever they want? That’s ridiculous. These are children, not dolls.

There’s nothing liberal about thinking parents have the absolute right to raise their children (or name their children) any way they see fit.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Our job as parents is to proctect our children. These parents did not have the safety or feelings of thier children in mind when they named them. I can only imagine what other kinds of injustices these poor children are being forced to assume. There are many forms of abuse. Unfortunatly some are more apparent than others. I think that ANY complaint should be investigated. Many people are very good about hiding what they are doing wrong. These people clearly have no respect for humanity or the law.
FYI: The system does not always work. Many children and abuse signs are overlooked by our social service program. Any action is better than no action and belive me, if the children were removed from the home … there is abuse. Our social service program does not act on accusations. Action is only taken after an investigation has been completed.

In many people’s minds Hitler was a visionary with great plans for Germany’s future. For the first six years of Hitler’s reign he accomplished things that enhanced Germany’s position in the world. That is probably why Time magazine made Hitler their man of the year. But the atrocities committed in his name in the final six years of his dictatorship made him a very evil person. The death camps built by the Nazis were inexcusable and awful.
