This photo submitted by Jim Williams (left) and Zach Lamm (right) is the winner of the annual GayCities #FeelTheLove Challenge, sponsored by our friends at San Francisco Travel.
The couple wins a trip to the city on the bay for a two-night stay at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis’ 2,000-square-foot Presidential Suite–plus cocktails in the luxuriously remodeled View Lounge.
The shot was taken on the Nichols Bridgeway, which runs from Millennium Park to the Art Institute of Chicago on November 18, 2011, shortly after the couple received a civil union and two days before their 12th anniversary. It snapped by Jeff Williams (Birmingham, AL), who encouraged the couple to leap for joy.
Jim is a mobile app designer and Zach a market researcher. The two live in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. They were legally married shortly after the state of Illinois ushered in marriage equality.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Congrats to the cute couple!
Check out some of the runners-up in the GayCities #FeelTheLove Challenge…

Too bad the winning picture does not have the couple kissing. I thought it was suppose to be a kissing photo. Click thru the site as the pic you see here in the post is not the winner. The winners are on a bridge jumping in the air and holding hands. No kiss in that pic

Jim is right – it’s strange that a couple jumping in the air should win a “share your kiss” photo contest. I say they should be disqualified and the prize should go to the runner-up.

They are not even a couple! I boycott this!

Remember the last time (i don’t remember which contest) when a photo of two guys kissing a girl in between won the competition and now this. It makes me wonder these kinds of contest don’t wanna honor gay couples at all.

A bunch of white guys. Shock.

The winning picture isn’t very creative. The runner ups were better. I didn’t feel the love as much as the others.

i think the 4th picture of the runner-up should have been the winner…
— this picture of the winner is not so WINNER for me.
