Because there hasn't been an original thought or creativity at the Advocate for years.
and by the way, their website design completely sucks.
The Advocate used to be must read, now its just warmed over crap lifted from wire services and blogs. Well except for their high school journalism grade cover stories.
Except Advocate actually reached out to interview and get quotes from the guys behind some of the clips… so it was a little more than just Queerty's "here are our favorites clips!" And QJersey, from all the constant bitter old queen negativity and gay media bashing that comes from you on this site, I dare say you haven't had an original thought in years either.
While the Advocate is certainly a pale spectre of its former self, it's hardly unexpected that more than one gay site would gather the clips together and spead them out into a multi-page list for click-harvesting.
It's not particularly original or insightful in either instance, but I suppose it qualifies as entertainment reportage for the lazy.
The Advocate is just like HRC – part of the ineffective "establishment."
Brian: The same "ineffective 'establishment'" that had a huge hand in getting Hate Crimes passed? Is that the one you are talking about?
