After the GLAAD Awards, Adam Lambert Was Stalked By GPS

Last night Candis Cayne and Wilson Cruz hosted GLAAD’s annual Los Angeles event to shush the critics. Wanda Sykes got an award from Constance McMillen. Glee won something. And Adam Lambert performed. This is actually a fairly typical night in LA.

Most amusing (or, if you believed it, frightening) was learning that after the awards, when Lambert got in his limo, the folks behind the WeHoDaily Twitter account had supposedly tagged his limo with a GPS device to track him as he navigated the after parties. Likely an attempt to start a twitter war with the Glambert set, but it wasn’t terribly difficult to track Adam’s every move in 140 characters or fewer.

Yeah, total facepalm moment here. WehoDaily WAS JOKING. Some of Adam’s more crazily overprotective fans get all up in arms when WehoDaily tweets about Adam, and the guy who runs the twitter likes to bait them. And even though he’s been joking like this for months, the fans still fall for it.

Never heard of them. Went over and browsed some of their tweets. Sounds like something written by a 12 year old with nothing better to do.

Who cares about that? Talk about the awful disaster he was instead. I couldn’t believe how bad he is.

      Greg Hernandez:

“Wow! Adam Lambert live is simply amazing!”

Lambert’s mission “is not only to promote visibility in the gay & lesbian community but 2 promote DIVERSITY in LGBT.”

I’m a huge Adam fan, but do find it hilarious how WeHoDaily can bait the fans over & over again. Common sense is your friend people. Stop being so over defensive and then you can see more clearly. What information would they gain from a GPS? Adam went home; to a party; to a hotel; to his friends; to a boyfriends; to his managers; to Whole Foods; to his moms… he’s not a secret agent or terrorist :)

The hottest performance of Fever yet! He has such a gift, and I find him quite attractive with his make-up. I’m glad he finally broke through the barrier with the audience and got ‘em up and MOVING, and that there was someone there who got most of his show recorded. Sometimes I get all caught up in the drama that swirls around him but then I see him perform again and remember that THAT is why he is out there and why I am paying attention!

It should be illegal for Adam to cover up his gorgeous eyes with sunglasses.

Rob Halford: “Firstly, thank God for Adam Lambert. I’m a huge fan, he’s MY Idol. We need someone like him in the Gay and Music community. His voice can do many things.”

Lambo can now add Halford to this list of his friends and fans: Zeppelin, Brian May/Roger/Queen, Slash, Steven Spielberg, Paul McCartney’s Brian Ray + band, Stephen Fry, Steven Tyler, Tim Burton, Demi Moore, Joe McHale, Rob Marshall, Muse, Gaga, Madonna, Rivers Cuomo, Selena Williams, Lisa and Priscilla Presley, Pink, Justin Hawkins, Tegan & Sara, Linda Perry, Sam Sparro, Smokey Robinson, Gary Jules, Boy George, Ann Kendricks, Carmit Bachar, Meatloaf, Ben Barnes, Ellen Degeneres, Rob Halford, Amy Adams, Dita Von Teese, Robbie Williams, Evan Rachel Wood, Marilyn Manson, Christina Applegate, Rob Cavallo, Greg Wells, Dr. Luke, Robin Thicke, Scissor Sisters, Lea Salonga, Max Martin…..the list goes on ages.

Curt Smith also called him an “uninentional pioneer” and May said “there are few people built, driven, talented, creative, authentic enough and destined to become what we call Iconic. To become even a modern-day icon like pehaps Lady Gaga, is difficult and takes a lot. But Adam Lambert is one of them. The kid is already on his way there.

“Margaret Cho: “Adam Lambert has such a rock n roll free-spirit, I love that. I respect anyone who dares to dare and marches to the beat of their own drum. He’s bringing personality and male sexuality back to the charts. He’s electric.”
