Afternoon Aural: Bat for Lashes


Very Short List once described Natasha Khan’s Bat For Lashes as a mix between Donnie Darko and Bjork. Of course, Donnie Darko‘s a movie, but the original score’s composed by Michael Andrews (who also scored Miranda July’s Me and You and Everyone We Know).

As far as we’re concerned, VSL hit the nail on the head in their summation of BFL’s “What’s A Girl To Do?” The track itself comes from last year’s Fur and Gold. Golden, girl…
