Afternoon Aural: Chuck Berry

Only a total tone deaf monster could ignore the rockin’, rollin’ gorgeousness of Chuck Berry, who actually gave birth to the musical genre. He’s got a terrible scar.

Anyway, we’ve included two videos for this afternoon: A 1972 performance of 1958′s “Carol” and 1955′s “Maybellene”,” which propelled Berry’s career.
