Afternoon Aural: Estelle
We’re not usually peppy on Monday’s, but there’s something in the air that’s making us itch for a bit of dance floor action. Unfortunately that is not an option, but we can bop our feet to Estelle’s “American Boy,” which features Kanye West, the American boy who has the power to launch this British beauty’s Stateside career. (We hope!)
I love her. I love this song. I will be getting this album tomorrow. She is doing so well in the UK. Now if only the US will catch up.
She has a cute sound. I’m not sure how long I can take that voice though. I’ll give the other singles on her CD a shot.

Also, tomorrow is a good day for music. Portishead’s album Third will be out. As well as Robyn’s album.
I went over to the UK a couple months back and heard this song about four times in one day. One of the few songs I don’t know if I could get sick of…just cool beats and a great voice on her.
