Afternoon Aural: Grateful Dead
From the editor: Regular readers know that I have a hard on for the Grateful Dead, a hold-over from my idealistic college days and, in fact, influenced by my older sister, who was a hippie for too many years to mention.
Well, this happens to be one of my favorite Dead tracks, "It Hurts Me Too." If you've got a friend in need and can't find empathetic words, send them this track.
Sure, it's about romance, but can easily be applied to other situations, like when their stash gets snatched.

love the dead
LOVE the dead - attended 45 shows between '85-'95.
I miss them so much. I only logged about a dozen shows though. I still have wistful moments remembering the Vegas shows with Santana opening. Followed by hard core fantasies of a threesome with Carlos Santana and Mickey Hart.
I miss these guys so much - and the smokin hot, long-hair hippie boys I used to meet at their shows.
Yea, I still have flashbacks whenever I smell that mix of pot, sweat, urine and patruli oil…..
