Afternoon Aural: Hard-Fi

What a coincidence! Our last post concerned journo Jesse Archer and British quartet Hard-Fi happens to be fronted by a man named Richard Archer. We don't think there's a relation, but we do think the band's fucking brilliant.

Though technically an "indie rock" band, the boys - Ross Phillips, Kai Stephens, Steven Kemp and Archer - definitely get funky in this single, "Cash Machine", from their debut, Stars of CCTV. Don't worry, though, they're true to their rock n' roll message, as you'll hear on "Hard To Beat", which we've included (everybody now!) after the jump.

If you like what you hear, you'll love to hear that Hard-Fi will release a new full-length in September, Once Upon A Time In The West.
