Afternoon Aural: Iron & Wine

It’s a remarkably chill (deserted) afternoon here in New York. If you close your eyes and think real hard, it almost feels as if you’re in rural America. Unfortunately, we’re not, but that doesn’t mean we can’t slow things down with a little tune from South Carolina-born Sam Beam aka Iron & Wine.

Above you can view the video for “Lion’s Mane,” off of I&W’s 2002 debut, The Drink Drank The Cradle. After the jump, we’ve included “Naked As We Came” from 2004′s Our Endless Numbered Days. Beam directed both videos. If you like what you hear, you may want to check out Iron & Wine’s latest single, “Boy With A Coin”, the first track from September’s The Shepherd’s Dog.
