Afternoon Aural: Pet Shop Boys
You asked for it. While I can’t give you a “Pet Shop Boys Week”, we can certainly do a day. Here’s the Bruce Weber directed video for “I Get Along”, which we think is an underrated singing-to-the-rafters gem in the PSB catalog. Even if you’re not a huge fan of the song, there are lots of pretty boys to stare at.

I worship PSB and I’ve loved this song since I first heard it: PSB channels the Beatles, I say. Unfortunately, their videos often fall short of the songs themselves. With a few exceptions, it’s like they go out of their way to give you a video that often has little to do with the song, which many might consider artistic in and of itself but it can leave you a little bereft.
More like Pet Shop Boys channel Oasis. Not the strongest cut in the PSB canon, but I’ll take it. Thank you!
Well if this is PSB week, you could (read: SHOULD) put the PSB-written song ‘The Loving Kind’ by Girls Aloud. It’s 3x amazing.
