Afternoon Aural: Róisín Murphy

Róisín Murphy has been hard at work on her new album, Overpowered. The former Moloko made a splash with 2004's Ruby Blue and definitely doesn't let up on this aural offering. Here's that album's titular single. After the jump, you'll find a video for "Sow Into You" from Ruby Blue. You'll love it.

And just because we love you, we've thrown in Handsome Boy Modeling School's "Truth," which features Murphy's beautiful vocals. Sadly, there's no video. It's just a picture of the album cover. Regardless, the song's amazing. You should make it your favorite.

Roisin and Moloko do indeed rule. And they're from Sheffield, where I went to University.

"So You Think You Can Dance" really loves her stuff too - that hot choreographer guy who did Madonna always uses her songs for his routines. "Rama Lama" last year, "Night of the Dancing Flame" this year.

But dear god I hate that Boris Dlugosch remix of "Sing It Back." The original album version is so much better.
