Loved Shalamar, they were underrated, but did some great stuff back in the 80s. There were rumors that Jodie Watley was gay or bi, but it never was confirmed.

Could Jody be wearing any more makeup? I love Shalamar (and the 80s!) — very progressive for the time…but my favorite songs go all the way back to the 1970s: “Take That To The Bank” and “Uptown Festival.”

OMG this was my prom theme in 1983…and the burnouts were pissed over a “disco” song being chosen…of course they wanted “freebird” LOL
