Back in the early 90s didn't a member of this group attack a club owner because they didn't know they were booked in a gay club and then freaked out about it? Not a very gay friendly group to have on Queerty.

There comes a point when you have to take a breath, relax, dance and forget about whether or not a performer was/is "Gay Friendly". Its music. Its meant to be enjoyed.

There's a big difference between being "gay friendly" and attacking someone because they're gay.

uugh… one band member made a "comment" that COULD have been conceived as anti-gay…

and of course it was.

an apology was issued, all is well. the music is now safe to dance to without succumbing to subliminal messages of homophobia.

If you were around in the gay club scene in the early 90s this was a BIG deal. Yes, I just read the Wiki page where it says it was just a comment, but that's revisionist history. When it happened it was called an assault. Unless the news stories from back then were wrong.
