Afternoon Aural: Steven Harley

From the editor: A friend of mine – we’ll call him Dicky V. – recently included Steven Harley’s “Make Me Smile (Come Up & See Me)” on a mix he made for me. And I love it. I hope you do, too.

Kisses to all, but especially Mr. V!

Oh wow, that brings back memories. An ex from long ago was a huge Steve Harley/Cockney Rebel fan and this was her favorite song. This and Sebastian.

Dubwise, that is an excellent soundtrack (and movie). Gotta love Todd Haynes. I think he loves classic/glam rock from this era almost as much as I do.

Pretty enjoyable, but sounds a bit like he’s trying to be Bob Dylan.
