Afternoon Aural: The Album Leaf
“You are on your way,” reader…
We’ve never heard of The Album Leaf (aka Jimmy LaValle) until today, but this video definitely suits our somber mood. Hopefully it won’t bring you too far down. Oh, and in case you couldn’t tell, the track is called “You Are On Your Way”.
Album Leaf’s been around for a few years, at least. They worked with Sigur Ros on their CD “In a Safe Place”, which is where this track comes from. Check out the track “Eastern Glow”. It smolders and hums.
If I had to work with Sigur Ros, I might be suicidal, too. At least, Album Leaf doesn’t screech, which must be an Icelandic thing since the only other Icelandic artist I know is Bjork.
