Afternoon Aural: The Troggs
The Troggs’ endlessly popular cover of “Wild Thing” has largely overshadowed some of their other hits, like “Love Is All Around” and “With A Girl Like You.” The video for the latter provides a perfect example of how not to lip sync. There’s also a valuable lesson on how to make silly faces!
“Love Is All Around†is on the soundtrack to one of my favorite gay-themed movies, “Get Real”. That sweet little song is playing while the two leads are cruising each other and playing through glory holes in a park park toilet stall. Sweet.
