Alan Cumming, Not Your Next Broadway Star
Fake excommunicated actor Alan Cumming was all set to return the stage (remember Cabaret?) in the Spider-Man musical, the one with U2′s music and called Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, but he has dropped out of his chance to play Green Goblin for charlatans paying $150 for orchestra seats. Something about scheduling conflicts with his new full-time role on CBS’s The Good Wife.

Alan Cumming is hardly ever off the stage, so it hardly would have been a “return”. And besides, the image you used above is of him on stage fairly recently in Edinburgh. Get your facts sorted!

This is a really irritating way of spinning a story. Alan Cumming dropped out because that musical is in production hell. Evan Rachel Wood did the same thing a month ago. Just because you don’t like Alan Cumming doesn’t mean you need to imply that this is some kind of dumb career move.
