Synopsis

“From the creators who brought you the stage adaptations of such shows as Roseanne and Designing Women, Velvet Rage Productions is proud to announce the return of Sex and the City: Live! – with some of your favorite moments of the ground-breaking series. Each performance will feature two episodes based on the iconographic TV show that ran on HBO from 1998 – 2004 (now in syndication). So put on your party clothes, grab your besties and head down to the Victoria Theater every weekend (July 24 – Aug. 10, 2014) where the cosmopolitans will be as plentiful as the laughs in this uproarious drag send up.

“The ‘girls’ are four young professional women in search of the perfect relationship and, of course, the perfect orgasm. Each episode features multiple storylines that tackled relevant and modern social issues including sexuality, sexually transmitted diseases, safe sex, promiscuity, femininity and of course shoes – while exploring the difference between friendships and relationships.”

The show, which is produced by Velvet Rage Productions and directed by D’Arcy Drollinger, originally debuted in June 2012. The 2012 show quickly sold out and re-debuted for a “sold out smash-run for 11 months in 2013.” Alaska is filling the spot of Trixxie Carr, who originally played the character of Charlotte.
