Barack Obama had secret meetings with Fox News and mogul Rupert Murdoch to express concerns over the channel's coverage of him and his campaign. The camps must have ironed out their differences, because Obama will appear on Bill O'Reilly's show this Thursday, the same night John McCain accepts the Republican presidential nomination. [WaPo]

Anyone else remember that time when Bill was trying to get that Barak Obama interview?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf9aE3Toepo
Looks like he finally got it ha ha.
Why bother? It's a waste of Obama's time, since fox "news" viewers are hardly likely to vote for him. It demonstrates a willingness to talk across the aisle, I suppose, but mostly it just seems to me to be giving that pompous, self-important windbag bill-o additional credibility, which is too bad.
Yeah, O'Reilly's show is hardly a credit to Obama, particularly when the nomination acceptance is going on. Sounds like a pathetic appeal on FOX's part for ratings…and they'll probably get them, at least from the neurotic "conservatives" that find McCain too liberal.
At the very least it will now shut the windbag up about Obama being scared of him. I just hope Obama does not wimp out and he shoves it right back down the f**ker's throat. I know teh imagery of something else is painful but I mean shove O'reily's words back down his throat.
Brilliant. He'll get to bash McSame right before his speech.
Obama '08
I watch CNN< MSNBC< and FOX. If you don't like a particular person then don't watch that channel. I'm not voting for Obama or McCain but I'm voting. McCain is a repeat of Bush and Obama hates white people. Sitting in a church for twenty years and listening to a hateful pastor is the same as a black guy attending a KKK rally. It's your vote so think before you select.
Well Bill,
He hates White people?
What about the many of White Gays who sat in their house and listen to family members call us Blacks NIGGERS and etc?
Which is worse a Pastor, or your Mother and Father?
You're right I truly thought before I select and my choice is clear.
Wow, "Obama hates white people." He must really have a desperate ongoing struggle with himself since he's half white and was raised by his white mother and white grand parents. Given the circumstances of being abandoned by his black father, I'd suspect he might hate black people more. What I do know, Bill, is you are clearly a racist and very afraid. You tremble at the thought of a black man, an African-American, being in a position of power. In your paranoid, racist little mind, I'm sure you fear he'll turn the country over to "the blacks". Cowardly and racist, you really sound a lot like a Republican to me.
