We’re not game show watchers – except for Jeopardy – so we missed this mess on CBS’ Power of 10. Luckily old Andy Towle caught the jaw-dropping ignorance:
Even after 26 years of effort by experts to dispel myths about HIV, 47% of Americans (or at least the 1,000 Americans polled by the show for this question) still say they would not swim in a pool with someone with the virus.
That’s some sick shit.
Not that these two hippos would ever have to worry about it anyway. Looks like the last time they got wet was when their trainers were hosing them down before sending them back out to be gawked at by little kids.
