Amy Winehouse’s Upcoming Album Proves She’s The Hardest Working Dead Artist Since Tupac

While people continue speculating about Amy Winehouse’s cause of death, fans can at least look forward to her posthumous album about failed marriage to Blake Fielder-civil. But will the album be any good or just a cynical attempt to cash in on her unfinished B-sides a la Sublime’s Second Hand Smoke?

According to one source:

“People who have heard the new songs say that they are very, very good and that they are as autobiographical as ever. The period after 2006 was when Amy went through the most emotional upheaval, with Blake going to prison and then their divorce.”

Most of the tracks were just demos, where Amy had laid down a backing track and had written some lyrics, and the songs would be completed using Amy’s vocals or contributions from friends. It is slated for release next year, with all proceeds going to a charity set up by Amy’s father Mitch to help people struggling with addiction. Since her death last week, the album Back to Black has topped the iTunes charts in 17 different countries.

There’s also rumor that Amy wanted to adopt a 10-year-old girl from Saint Lucia. So after this album drops, we’ll miss out on new music from the talented crooner as well as the opportunity to possibly see her as a mother.
