To them, he was still SERGEANT Manzella and he didn’t notice a change in how he was treated or viewed. Maybe he was dealing with people in and around his own age . I hate to say it but things will definitly get better after a generation passes...sad... After I was kicked out, my unit had to wait over a year to get my replacement, we are actually causing damage to readiness by kick gay service members out.
