Every single person who has come out has more courage than this guy. He seems like a nice fellow with a sense of humor, but I just have zero respect for him.

I think he’s cool. He was pretty out when I saw him at the “little bee” cafe in the west village way back in his post Mole days. He was pretty out and scoping me in broad day light in the cramped cafe, I was with my bf so that was how far it got. Just saying he’s not the devil and he is he is a pretty cute one.

@Fitz, Uh, since there’s no proof of what you really look like, I’ll stick with my original assertion that Anderson looks damn good for his age.
Everyone makes a big deal about how Anderson’s so uptight about his sexuality, but I don’t see any indication that the criticism he gets for it from sites like this has any effect on him one way or the other, he’s living his life the way he wants regardless of the negativity towards him, so what’s the point of wasting time focusing on HIM when there are more important issues out there than his sexuality. Not to mention the fact that there are plenty of others on TV who are gay and silent about it. But no, Anderson always has to be the big villain here.
Kathie Griffin and Suzie Orman both wished Anderson Cooper a happy birthday at the end of the newscast tonight. I mean how gay is that? Screams to me. Too bad he is filling in for Regis in the morning. No partying with America’s greatest fag hag and lesbian, except for Rosie and Ellen.
@Fitz: If he’s had more stress to age him than you I would guess it has more to do with the family deaths, ducking bullets and bombs, prison in foreign countries, swimming around with sharks, and the inevitable constant public scrutiny brought on by fame.
He’s out in his regular life just not officially out on the world stage. Since I doubt anyone posting here is famous, that means he’s had about as much experience coming out and living out as the rest of us. Hopefully he’ll come out at some point, which will be good for us but he’ll still have the other stresses and probably additional stress from having an increased number of people trying to pry into his love life (if an increase is actually possible at this point).

why the screaming about a person’s decision not to shout & declare his sexual orientation…come on guys, we should all chill and just let the guy come out on his own time – besides, he’s not out there demonizing the gay community to deflect any gay rumors swirling around him…….we cannot shove down our way of doing things on others throasts just because they’re also gay! last thing i checked, the gay movement came into being because of the community’s desire for freedom – freedom to live according to how he chooses to live life – DEMANDING Anderson to come out negates that very choice the pioneers of the gay movement have fought for.
