Andrew Rannells certainly has great taste in men. The out actor reveals that if his Girls character gets a boyfriend during the fourth season of the buzzy HBO comedy, his dream casting is the very hetero married Hugh Jackman. We can definitely see it. The two certainly have a lot in common, even besides their leading man-friendly good looks. Both have serious Broadway musical cred, with Rannells nabbing a Tony nomination for his hilarious work in The Book of Mormon and Jackman having won the best actor trophy for The Boy from Oz.
The former star of the lamented sitcom The New Normal tells E!’s Marc Malkin that he hopes his outspoken character Elijah finds a new boyfriend next season and as it pays to dream big, he wants the man best known as Wolverine in his bed.
“Always and forever it will be Hugh Jackman,” Rannells shares. The line forms in the rear, Andrew!
Rannells is also taking a page from the playbook of another Broadway thesp, Looking star Jonathan Groff, by announcing his willingness to shoot explicit sex scenes — for art’s sake, mind you.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“I volunteered myself for nakedness,” Rannells reveals. “I feel like with Looking on the air, I gotta represent some gay sex on the show. I’m willing.”
We’re sure Lena Dunham will agree so here’s hoping Hugh does, as well.

Haha, considering how much rumours there has been surrounding Hugh Jackman’s sexuality, he’ll probably be staying away from anything “gay” for a while.
PARKAVMAN
“duh” of course if he gets to choose.
