Andy Cohen, the Bravo programming head who gets no love from Nikki Finke, stopped by The Colbert Report last night to drink and role play Bethenny and Kelly. Wow, I can actually stand watching him on other people’s shows.

I’d hit it. Cohen is 10 times hotter than Davey Gravy.
Nick
He’s a cross-eyed ugly star fucker
Geoff M
He’s an out, successful, likeable guy (even if his talk show is too corny). What’s the freakin problem QUEERTY? How about building up those in our community for a change…you prove the saying that we really do eat our own.
christopher di spirito
@Geoff M: The only gay man Queerty pushes is Davey Gravy because he lets the editors blow him once a month. Disgraceful.

i love andy, his weekly show, and his reunion shows. he’s funny, smart, asks all the right questions, and isn’t afraid to call out those train wrecks right to their faces – in person. or via skype…
i’m with ben weiner on this one, and trust that 13 year old “real housewives” fan over nikki finke any day! andy is AWESOME – the mazel of the week. and you, queerty, are this week’s jackhole of the week for even daring to criticize him!
ron
I barely know who this guy is, but he sure is adorable! I don’t watch his show, and I don’t watch any of the various housewives’ shows. I don’t care if they live or die.
Uhhh
Are all the above comments Andy Cohen himself? (Would not surprise me in the least.) He’s a charisma-free snooze-fest who wants to be a celebrity and uses his position to thrust himself into every position in the spotlight humanly possible. Sat near him at a Madonna concert last year–the other celebs there (Jerry Seinfeld, Kelly Ripa, Chris Rock) were all laying low while Andy was practically flouncing around begging people to recognize him. An executive does not a capable public personality make.

@Geoff M:
Do you know Andy? I do. He isn’t that likeable. He is self absorbed.
Pip
I love Andy Cohen. The Real Housewives of NYC is pretty much the greatest reality show ever made. The hilarity and craziness on that show can’t be denied. I was literally pumping my fists with joy when they were doing the roll play of Kelly and Bethany hahahahahaha.
Geoff M
@tylertime: LOL…and what queer isn’t self absorbed? I don’t think anyone’s saying he’s a saint to the kingdom of all things gay, but if we can’t recognize (or at least not tear down) those in our community who are out and successful….what does that say about us? (more importantly about you?)
RevoltingDoor
@Uhhh: RIght on! He is vapid, shallow, and just interested in boosting his fame. That’s why he fought to have his own show. He wants to be a bigger “star” than the “stars” Bravo is creating. Oh, and he has bad breath.
RevoltingDoor
@Pip: Umm, didn’t anyone tell you ALL those shows are scripted and fake? You must also believe in Santa Claus.
Swimmer - Chicago
Andy Cohen is not all that….he thinks he is sexy..and he’s not..he is a bit old to have his shirt open as far as he does…does he think a chest full of hair at his age is sexy? YUCK!
Sorry he should stay behind the scenes and put some eye candy on Bravo….

Love Andy + I like his show, to boot. Especially when it doesn’t have Real Housewives of some fashion as the main guests (which, sadly, doesn’t seem to happen as often as I’d like lately).
Pip
@RevoltingDoor: hows that even relevant? the story lines in them aren’t that complicated. this isn’t ‘the hills’ dude, and even if it were, its still hilarious and incredibly entertaining.

It’s interesting to hear all the Andy haters, most of whom claim to purport to know him off camera. I don’t doubt their accounts, but if he’s a self absorbed, bad-breath fame whore off camera, he’s different on camera; I find him sweet and silly.
He maintains a tricky balance, playing the part of super fan, referee, and bullshit-caller-outer.
It’s a brilliant act, b/c as senior VP and executive producer, he is the boss of all his RH guests, and someone with a deep financial interest in the success of the show. I am curious as to how much of the “plots” he actually helps set up and control on all the RH franchises…
