Another Good Reason To Avoid Discount Trans Surgery… This Woman

We already warned you about the health risks of discount trans surgery, but if that wasn’t enough, just until you hear about the recent arrest of Oneal R. Morris.

Morris is a “pumper” charged with serious bodily injury and practicing medicine without a license after injecting women’s bodies with a mixture of cement, mineral oil and flat tire sealant to give them shapelier hips and thighs.

One of Morris’ patients paid $700 for a pumping treatment but then reported Morris to the Florida Department of Health after experiencing severe abdominal pain, flu-like symptoms and infected sores at the pumping sites.

The twist? When police found Morris, they discovered that she too had fallen victim to her own makeshift surgeries and had an unnaturally large set of thighs and butt cheeks.

Discount plastic surgery. Nuh-uh, gurl… don’t do it.

Well, one gets what one pays for and any surgery on the cheap is going to carry appalling risks. While I sympathize with the victims, I feel they should have known better.

The scary thing is the person in the pic probably got exactly what she wanted. She was the one giving herself the injections and probably had some body dysmorphic issues, wanting to look like Jessica Rabbit or something. Good thing the police got to her before she killed somebody. There have been deaths from these “Pumpers” before.

Really, newspeople? “Was born a man” kind of implies ‘is not male’ to me, but maybe I’m just crazy.

      @Cam:
I was wondering the same thing. Doe’s she and her “patients” have body dysmorphic issues? I realize she is just one person and not representative of all transgender people, but is there a tendency for trans men and women to struggle with body dysmorphia more than the general population? It seems to be an issue among gay men; re. The Adonis Factor, but it hadn’t occurred to me before until seeing pic’s of this woman that it might be a problem in the trans community.

On a serious note, this is a problem in the younger poorer ethnic transgendered community. But no one would know cause it doesn’t involve rich old white men getting married.

I agree that this is appalling – Oneal is a criminal and her patients should have known better.

But it’s also appalling that the news agencies once again refused to use the appropriate gender pronouns in describing a trans woman, and that they didn’t even touch upon the greater issue that there are people out there who are desperate to change their gender and have little-to-no financial or medical assistance to do so.

B-Rock took the words right out of my mouth. Oneal is totally wrong and it’s a good thing that she was stopped.

But to call her a “him” is simply ludicrous in this day and age. Get with it news media!

A woman is dead and people here seem more concerned about the use of a pronoun.
This is how political correctness and thought police murder the soul.

Anyone who consents to being injected with CEMENT sounds like a Darwin Award nominee to begin with. I don’t care if they’re transgendered or not.

It’s about right on par with shooting up drain cleaner or chugging cough syrup for kicks.

Reminds me a bit of the Korean woman who was so obesessed with plastic surgery that when reputable doctors finally refused her any more operations, she obtained some silicone to inject herself with. When she ran out of silicone, she took to using cooking oil. Eventually, other reputable doctors had to step in to remove the build up of yuck in her face and bring it back down to a normal size.

Horrible story. The “surgeon” certainly deserves a very harsh punishment. However, this has as much to do with gay and lesbian people as story about an unqualified doctor performing hair transplants. Gays and lesbians do not seek to alter themselves surgically so as to appear as the opposite sex. Stop pretending that they do.

… what makes you think they consented to being injected with cement? More likely, the victims were told they would get an injection but not what would be in it.

@TMikel: The victims may or may not know better, but most of them are desperate, poor, with little access to resources. It’s a really hideous and sad situation, and while I know there’s always that temptation for people to view it as some sort of sideshow, there are pretty terrible consequences to pumping, and it’s really no laughing matter.

Also, wow, I know it’s not the author’s fault, but “tranny” right there in the video title is pretty offensive.

@R.A.: Treating people with decency and not using improper pronouns, and, as a result erasing someones’ gender identity… This is not “political correctness,” it’s, well, being a decent human being. It’s disrespectful and dehumanizing to the woman in question to have been misgendered this way. It’s also disrespectful to other transgender individuals. So no, this isn’t just a small matter or just splitting hairs. Imagine if another group, pick any group, had a member’s death mentioned in the news and that news outlet referred to them by a common slur often used against that group.

It would be pretty offensive, wouldn’t it?
