Another Teacher To Lose Job Because Of “Princesses: Long Island” —This One For Using AntiGay Slur

Bravo’s Princesses: Long Island has been in news lately and not for the stars.

Following the recent forced resignation of a male teacher for being too hot on camera (we still don’t see the problem), a second New York educator is in hot water, but for good reason. Boozed-up during her cameo on the show, Sara Schapiro, a first-grade teacher at Public School 63 in the East Village, fired away at a castmate’s boyfriend with an antigay slur — calling him a faggot. Although filmed in June, it’s recently come back to bite her in the bum.

Last week she told the NY Daily News that she’ll likely walk away from her job, as opposed to being forced to resign like the other teacher (who, again, really didn’t do anything wrong).

Reveling in her one minute of fame, the Daily News asked Schapiro if she would change anything about her reality show debut? “Nope! I was on TV. I don’t care,” she said. “I had a good time.” (#SMH)
