Pope Benedict XVI and his Catholic Church aren’t down with the gays. In fact, they think we queers are going straight down to hell. They’ve made this quite clear.
If it’s so clear to them, why does it make our head hurt so much?
The anti-gay stances has led many a homo to label Catholic officials “homophobes”. The official Catholics of Catholic.com, who think they have an answer for everything, dismiss this charge thus:
Those opposed to homosexual behavior are often charged with “homophobia”–that they hold the position they do because they are “afraid” of homosexuals. Sometimes the charge is even made that these same people are perhaps homosexuals themselves and are overcompensating to hide this fact, even from themselves, by condemning other homosexuals.
Both of these arguments attempt to stop rational discussion of an issue by shifting the focus to one of the participants. In doing so, they dismiss another person’s arguments based on some real or supposed attribute of the person.
Of course, this can be a bit confusing, since Catholics suppose a lot of things about gay people, ie: they’re going against God’s supposed word. In order to clarify, the editors offer this explanation of what makes a faggot so damn sinful:
Homosexual desires, however, are not in themselves sinful. People are subject to a wide variety of sinful desires over which they have little direct control, but these do not become sinful until a person acts upon them, either by acting out the desire or by encouraging the desire and deliberately engaging in fantasies about acting it out. People tempted by homosexual desires, like people tempted by improper heterosexual desires, are not sinning until they act upon those desires in some manner.
So, these Catholics think it’s the homo sex that’s sinful, thus shifting the focus to the participants’ actions. Isn’t that what they admonish “homophobe” slinging gays of doing?

Sin is such a silly idea, and I having been brought up as an atheist, have never understood it.
Interestingly, Italian gays are very strongly of the opinion that the current pope is a homosexual, as are most of the high up catholic hierachy.
Don’t know if this is true or not, but it would be great to ‘OUT’ the fuckers.

Both Catholic.com and gay people who argue with them are guilty of the same charge. Personally, I think it is counterproductive to argue with a person who is involved with any religion and argues from a religious standpoint. One cannot argue with a god. It is no more useful that arguing with a stone.
A better approach, in my opinion, is to shrug and reply in a calm voice that they are free to do what they feel their god is telling them to do in their own personal behaviours but don’t expect all of us to follow along. A long time ago, I called myself a Catholic. One day during mass, I had to face the truth that I don’t believe in gods, saints, angels, devils, etc. What we cannot explain, today, does not mean it cannot be explained in the future.

Herr Ratzinger, Der Pope, was a member of the NSDAP before it was obligatory, and his Nazi connections kept him out of combat – he worked on an antiaircraft battery. He has been associated with the most reactionary circles in Germany, Austria and in the roman cult, and worked with his predecessor to help boy raping priests to escape justice. (Just as during the 1940’s the Vatican helped Nazi’s and SS men to escape justice). His campaign against gays is meant to distract from the enormous scandal engendered by priests who rape children, which will end up costing the roman cult about three billion dollars in the US and a huge, but to date unknown, amount in Europe and south America. If he ever steps foot on US soil we should demand that he be indicated and arrested as an accomplice and accessory to statutory rape.Let him spend time in prison with some heavy duty rapists.
