Anti-Gay Graves “Sad,” Says Rival Barnes

There’s some serious mudslinging happening in Missouri!

Yesterday we informed you that Republican Congressman Sam Graves tried to scare up votes by smearing opponent Kay Barnes’ “San Francisco Values,” which translates to gay loving. Well, Barnes isn’t taking the attacks lying down and released this advert denouncing eight years of Graves’ lackluster public service. Basically, he’s pathetic for releasing said ad, she says. And we agree.

Relive Graves’ anti-gay commercial, after the jump…

Yes, yes, yes! Now that’s a great response. Keep hitting him with his record and don’t allow him to frame the issue using divisive scapegoating cheap shots. Go for the jugular, Ms. Barnes. A swift response ridiculing cheap scare tactics is what all Democrats should do. Expose his crookedness and cronyism for all the voters to see. Here’s to your victory over this sorry Republican scumbag in November!

I liked her as our mayor, and I like the “is that all you’ve got” message of this spot. Go Kay!

You guys should take a look at the Pitch newspaper out of KC. They just did a story about Kay Barnes that brings up Sam Graves. Check it out at The Pitch.
