On another note are these people really that stupid. Here is another excerpt from their site, i wanted to vomit at this lack of education. Where did these people get their education from a cracker jack box?

The politically correct mantra about HIV/AIDS is that “anybody can get it.” This half-truth is as bizarre as pointing to the tragic death of professional naturalist Steve Irwin, best known as “The Crocodile Hunter,” and saying “anyone can die from the barb of a stingray.” There is an obvious missing piece in both instances. You’re not going to die from a stingray’s barb unless you dive in waters that are home to stingrays. Likewise, unless you (1) Have intimate sexual contact with someone who is infected with the HIV/AIDS virus, (2) Share contaminated needles to do drugs, or (3) Are a healthcare worker who comes in direct contact with the body fluids of an infected person (or as in the heartrending case of Kimberly Bergalis, who contracted AIDS from her infected dentist), you will not, I repeat, you will NOT contract HIV/AIDS.

Another phony slogan foisted off on the public is that women are the “new face of HIV/AIDS.” These myths are among the pernicious efforts to disperse the stigma associated with a disease that is almost exclusively a homosexual male and drug addict epidemic. Insidious myths like these leave today’s young people misinformed, misled and, thus, unprotected.

Ty, but i get it i really do, i was as floored looking over their website as most people are sickened. Then again, i am used to it and have become mostly immune to hateful comments, i let them roll off my shoulder because they just show how ignorant the other people are and total lack of education. That said, when it comes to the people I represent for my Organization who are a part of the community, i dont let it roll off and fight vigorously. This article is actually coming up at our Friday meeting on SFSU Campus to form an official response by the members and executive council of my org.

That said, we as a community need to rise above this and not be hateful right back as it only fuels their fire and leads credence to what they say. The best possible fight back is facts of which they have none and we have a histories worth. There are always going to be those against us as a community and as a people, because as society as shown, what people dont understand they fear, and what they fear they try to destroy. We as a community have our own internal struggles and conflict and discrimination from within so to allow something like this which will go nowhere to affect us is disheartening. We have come so far in our rights as people and as humans on this planet, with the same right to be heard and live as anyone else but we must respond back appropriately. Not with “kill the bitch” etc, as then it makes us look bad.

Even one death is to many for anti-hate on either side, and many have been turned, usually there is something in those closets of theirs they dont want known but eventually comes out. At our NO HATE/ERASE HATE Campaign last year, we literally had people from Westboro baptist church on campus sabotaging the event, and email threats to stop the event, yes at the time it damaged the event, but this year only made us stronger and brought more people together for one cause, one goal, not to mention tighter security lol My point being is many fold, but gonna wind this up as im long winded. We are better than their articles and as a people and must always remember that.
