Mike Rogers says Democratic vegetarians are having more fun between the sheets. Andrew Sullivan suggests it’s Republicans who probably have sex swings and dungeon rooms. Aside from the whole “outing politicians” thing, this extra footage from Outrage is perhaps the movie’s best viral marketing material.

Just as many straight men believe crazy women have the best sex, I believe closeted or down-low men put all that repressed energy and frustration into dynamite sex.
I thought that was part of the reason so many gay men chase after closet cases.

@Anthony in Nashville: I think exactly the opposite. You need to be able to really let yourself go for that intense hard-and-connected sex. If you are a closet case and divorced from yourself, can you really do that?

Conservative boys let you f**k them harder…

I vote democrat, but prefer to sleep republican. my experience has show that republicans are better in bed.

@Oaklander:
If you mean “connected” in terms of sex that can mean more than a physical thing, you may be right.
But if you’re looking for raw, down-and-dirty “f*ck the taste out of my mouth” sex I do think closet cases may deliver on that better than well-adjusted gays. Maybe that self-loathing inspires them to be super freaky in the bed (I know they like to bareback) since they know it’s “forbidden fruit” and they want to make it as memorable as possible because they can’t have it very often.

I actually believe that repressed people confuse good sex with addictive sex. Sexual repression is a result of shame and sexual self hatred. But sexual energy does not go away just because one tries to squelch it. It must express itself and so often it does so in extreme over the top ways. Often ways that lead to regret by the repressed individual. Secrecy, hiding behaviors from partners (open relationships are fine as long as they live in the light and agreed upon by both partners in a relationship), which can only serve to erode trust and intimacy because of the lying. Risky behaviors to ones health. All these things can provide and intensity to sex which is based on conditions outside those engaging in sex not within the sexual act between those engaging. And thats where great sex really happens, when two people connect, even for a short time, on a level based on mutual self worth and respect. Now that does not mean that a little S&M or such is bad, those things require submission and real and total submission only takes place when there is trust involved.
Take a look at the states that have ultra high rates of porn usage or high memberships in organizations like S.A. I am originally from Nashville, the buckle of the bible belt, and I have curiously attended some of those meetings and usually they are overflowing. The energy is depressing and heavy and most of the people who attend are from strong religious backgrounds. I cannot believe that guilt, shame and self loathing are products of a good sexual experience. So no, I do not believe that repressed people are having great sex. I just believe the ultra highs and ultra lows and having to have sex to temporarily lift them out of those lows confuses them into thinking they are experiencing great sex. I mean, wouldn’t a crack addict tell you that being high is much better than not being so?

I guess I just need something from my sex partners that a self-hater can’t give. đ It’s a good place to be.

@Anthony in Nashville: And maybe that’s the problem. It depends on how one defines “good sex”. If you think “good sex” means a wild hump-f*ck-suck fest, you’ll probably want a closet case Republican who lets out his inner frustration/self-loathing in bed. But if you think “good sex” means a real, intimate bond on a physical level and an emotional level, you’ll probably want someone who’s accepted himself as gay & OK.
So maybe the rule of thumb is to date a Republican but marry the Democrat? đ

There’s no blanket rule as to who’s sexier…some self-loving empowered gays are smokin’ the sheets up, and some are not going to light anyone’s fire.
Some closeted gays are FRRREEAKS in the sheets, some couldn’t fuck their way out of a paper bag…

I slept with a neocon for five years… He was more than sufficient…ha ha ha
