Communities around the world are joining together to broadcast love and unity into the world when there are those, like the gunman in Orlando, who wish to put fear and suffering center stage.
Scroll down for a glimpse at why his message will never trump the human capacity to heal:

Let’s hope it’s another step against homophobia.But let’s get real.Many people still hate lgbt+ people.
Dave Downunder
@gayhope1990: For the most part only ill informed religious zealots still hate gay people and try to deny us our rights. Any of the people we read about who insight hatred and try to pass laws to allow us to be discriminated against tend to be nut jobs with oddly thought out misinterpretations of an ancient made up text. Sadly they do still hold a lot of power to influence so our battle is not over yet.

Its really disheartening to see only a handful countries showing solidarity Towards the LGBT victims, really sad.

There was a memorial vigil outside City Hall here in Dublin this evening. Unfortunately I wasn’t there because it was too late when I heard of it.

Did anybody notice that Israel is the only country in the Middle East to show their solidarity and with USA?
But oh how the Democratic social justice warrior Left hates Israel.
Example #13,942 of why liberism is a mental disorder.
Mkiel
to be fair there were a 10/12 predominantly Muslim countries that expressed their horror & sadness & send msgs of sympathies to USA
Alistair Wiseman
@Mkiel:
You mean the countries that routinely throw gay men off buildings?
They sent messages, just words.
I said “show their solidarity”.
TampaBayTed
Many world leaders have expressed feelings of sorrow and solidarity with the victims of the massacre…strangely Pope Franny appears to be silent on this tragedy.
Alistair Wiseman
@TampaBayTed:
Nope, Pope Francis has weighed in on the Orlando massacre.

THANKS to Alistair Wiseman for updating me on the Vatican’s response. Have not seen much reportage of this from the mainstream media.

@Alistair Wiseman: One can hate policies but still acknowledge the civil rights a country affords its citizens. There are many (if not most) who acknowledge those things that Israel gets right among the progressive community. Even Israeli progressives protest their country’s policy regarding the occupied territories (much more vocally than here in the US actually where AIPAC suppresses the voice of the Jewish community). But once again, it is unlikely that someone like you will allow reality to get in the way of their myth based agenda.
Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah says the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history is a “senseless act of terror and hate” and that “Palestinians stand with the American people in this difficult time.”
“Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah told the Cabinet as he opened the weekly meeting live on television on Monday morning that the Orlando attack “tells us that terrorism knows no religion, boundary and geography. Terrorism must be eliminated.”
He says that Afghans “do not support terrorism but the victims of terrorist attacks” and offered his condolences to the people and government of the United States. “Our hearts and minds are with our U.S. partners.” He also urged “collective actions to end such attacks.”
Egypt’s Foreign Ministry condemned the Orlando attack “in the strongest possible terms,” and offered condolences to the American government and people. “Egypt stands next to the American people in these difficult times, offering sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.”
Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry is strongly condemning the “cowardly” attack in Orlando, expressing solidarity with the victims and the U.S. government and blaming the massacre on the Islamic State group. It says no country or person is safe from “this global blind terrorism.”
Indonesia’s (the largest Muslim country) foreign ministry said the government condemns the attack and extends deepest sympathy to the families of victims and the American people.
I could go on, but you clearly show your disconnect with reality and your divisive agenda. Please actually define what you regard as some mysterious difference between “just words” and a show of solidarity. Perhaps it has to do with your imagination, as so much of your posting does. Russia by the way has made no official statement, although Russian people have expressed solidarity by constructing public memorials.

@Alistair Wiseman: “Example #13,942 of why liberism is a mental disorder.”
Study after study (sociological, psychological and neurological) show that conservatism correlates with lower intelligence, lower critical thinking skills, greater motivation by fear, higher levels of racism, and more.
By comparison the idea that liberalism is a mental disorder is entirely based on the fevered imagination and intentionally inflammatory rhetoric of Ann Coulter and a few of others of her ilk. A tiny group totally lacking in ethics who exist to inflate their bank accounts through shameless lies and manipulation. And that you buy into their screed is pretty telling.
