Not sure who’s hailing Torino, but they’re wrong. The oldest gay/lesbian film festival in Europe is Ljubljana’s. I think it’s worthy of mention because, hey, it’s Ljubljana! They are 28 this year – beating Turin by a year, and London by two. Katherine Fairfax Wright’s directing partner, Malika Zouhali-Worrall also deserves a credit.
Not sure why The Perfect Family hasn’t had more of a run in the USA yet – look for it at your local LGBTQ film festival this year. It’s really terrific, and not just because of Kathleen Turner.

I love Kathleen Turner. It’s really sad how she’s been crippled by painful arthritis all these years. I’m happy she’s still working when she can.
