Aussie PM Julia Gillard Won’t Let Gays Marry In Or Out of the Country
Not only is Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s Labor government, with the help of homosexuals, refusing to let its gay citizens marry in Australia, they’re not going to lift a 2005 ban that prohibits them from getting married elsewhere. Also: Gillard is refusing to meet with advocates to even discuss the M-word.
How many carnival barkers had to impregnate their sixteen year old cousins to get a piece of white trash like that? But who am I to say, just some queer? OK you kids, go ahead and weaken the gene pool, just get off of my lawn while you’re at it! Freakin’ breeders.

Sigh. I really dislike her, but the opposition Tony Abbott is even worse. As the Aussie saying goes, he’s got quite a few “kangaroos loose in the top paddock”.
Both candidates are just bodge this time. Can’t understand why the right factions are so powerful in both parties at the moment. What happened to the supposed moderate majority?

She’s only been PM for a few weeks and she might not even still be PM in a few weeks from now. Isn’t that understandable from a purely political/ running the country point of view?

@Michael They will ask for it. You might be able to get away with showing them your birth certificate and another document showing you are legally single (a recent tax return perhaps) in lieu of a CNI. But that’s definitely a crap shoot.
In any case, it is difficult to fully appreciate the stupidity of this Labor government.
Many countries that do not recognize same-sex unions – including Japan, Thailand, and the United States – will issue a CNI or affidavit of single status to gay and lesbian nationals with minimal fuss. Because a CNI or affidavit of single status has nothing to do with them recognizing anybody’s marriage. It is merely a document that establishes that (1) you are a national of that country; and (2) you are eligible to marry (i.e. not already married). To delve into applicants’ sexual orientation and use it as the basis for denial of a document that has nothing to do with same-sex marriage is pathetic and cruel.
