Seriously?!!? Have LGBT rights become a joke?

Why would anyone care what anyone the Bachelor thinks let alone about the LGBT community.

These dirty b.tches looking for their 15 minutes of fame are lecturing him? Really? Anyone that does a reality show is just pure trash.

@Spike: Your right, nobody cares what a pretty guy thinks. It might have also been a publicity stunt from Disney to cause controversy to attract viewers (see Duck Dynasty). Don’t underestimate corporate scumbags. Anything, regardless of how unethical, for money.

      @Spike:

Because it’s a national TV show and the network and the guy got called out for it.
Big Brother had similar happen when a contestant made rac-ist comments. To not say anything about it would be for the network to say it condoned it.

The fact there has been 27 seasons of this show proves beyond a shadow of a doubt there is zero hope for humanity.

Some people might think it’s offensive for a brown guy with a foreign-sounding name to be trying to scoop up a bunch of snooty white girls.

lmao…as trashy as this show is, they should at least allow all colors and creeds of trashy people to have some time to shine. lol

The producer of the show said he would never have a gay, chubby or black bachelor on because it isn’t a good ‘business” move.

That might be true though.I don’t think we have a big enough audience for those bachelors.

He says he didn’t mean to say ‘pervert’, says English is his second language. He says he meant to say gay people are ‘more racy and intense’ for the audience, as if that’s an excuse. But no matter, I forgive him.

It’s interesting that you would classify somebody as “Brown” who is sandy blondish and basically looks like they are from Holland.

Sounds like you may be the one making judgements based on his name and how he speaks.

@Cam: Or, you know, he was just aware that Juan Pablo is Latino, which is a fact.

Stop trying to race bait here.

There WAS a gay like bachelor… Though turns out the twist was half the guys were straight. But it ran through cause I remember the guy picking someone at the end. Though I do remember a gay one that got slammed I think after a few shows, by those people that are the most persecuted on the planet: conservative Christians

I can’t believe some of the comments here. Are you people seriously complaining about and attacking the very people defending the GLBT community? Wtf? We need all the allies we can get even if they are from a reality tv show. It is this kind of garbage that makes it harder for us as a community to get the equality we deserve.

With hundreds of thousands of gay people fighting for marriage equality television shows like “The Bachelor” (and “The Bachelorette”) continue to make a mockery of marriage in the name of entertainment. And, most disgustingly of all (at least to me), is that many American who are opposed to marriage equality appear to be perfectly accepting of making a game show out of finding a marriage partner (as long as it adheres to their religious definition of a “traditional” male/female couple.

So by knowing the guy is Latino he can assume that he is “Brown”? You and he are actually the race baiters here. He made the assumption of racial issues. I merely pointed out that his assumptions in this case were wrong and that his thinking that somebody was automatically “Brown” was the problem. Your defending him is along the same lines. Just because I have commented on some of your posts here on Queerty no reason to actively try to mis state the situation.

The hilarious thing was Bachelor fans overwhelmingly elected Juan Pablo to be the next Bachelor now have egg on their hormonal faces. What a shallow community of reality show watchers.
