Backlash.

“Super Talk Mississippi, which owns and operates seven conservative radio stations in Mississippi, issued a press release today stating that Michael Savage and his radio show Savage Nation had been canceled effective immediately. The radio broadcaster said Savage had crossed-the-line with comments he made about autistic children.” For those of you living under a rock, Savage – who’s savagely anti-gaysaid that 99% of autistic children are just brats. he should have been cancelled long ago. funny how people finally perked up after he said things about children. typical that the gay hate wasn’t enough.

Well, that’s one down. And Victor’s right: it’s odd how this guy can spew poisonout hate day after day against civil libertarians, gays, Democrats, women, whatever; and it’s equally ghastly (but no ghastlier) comments about autistic children that gets him the boot. (Presumably autistic adults would’ve been ok?) Sorry, that’s a “line” I just don’t get.

I hate this man. My Mom loves his radio show. I’m repulsed by him…I hope Jenny McCarthy, who has an autistic son, goes to his SF station and beats the s_t out of this low life anti gay piece of crap. Of course gay hate wasn’t enough-it’s really sad. Unfortunately, that isn’t crossing the line in many peoples’ opinions. We do not live in a just and fair society.

Looks like Mikey has gone bonkers…again. Maybe if he tried to find a brain, he wouldn’t say such stupid stuff.

This guy is nuts, I don’t know why he was ever allowed on the air. I guess controversy sells.
I am not surprised it took comments about children to cancel his show. Children rouse more emotions then adults.

He’ll have a new job in weeks, if not sooner.

The show has only been canceled on 7 outlets in Mississippi, according to my reading of the article. The fact is you don’t screw around with parents of disabled children, especially since this is a bi-partisan population.

Republicans who would tolerate discrimination against gay people are fiercely opposed to discrimination against their disabled children.

And remember, radio station owners can have autistic children and grandchildren as well.

Savage still 3rd largest on radio with 800,000 a week listeners….and many doctors and health providers who spoke on Mon/Tues show AGREE that too many children put in autistic catagory are wrong to be there. There are NO tests for autism, not blood, MRI etc. show anything abnormal.

the guy is a slimeball.. but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. most of these ‘autistic’ kids ARE just spoiled brats. it’s the latest self-absorbed yuppie ‘disease’ and it has been latched onto by the lower classes as another way to suck on the government-funds teat to subsidize their broods’ ‘disability’ .. ya just hate to hear it from a creep like savage.

as a gay autistic, i say he can go to hell. i signed the petition to get this jerk fired.

the asshole has it backwards, the people they used to call brats actually have a form of autism.

you can tell a brat for an autistic.

8 stations in MIssissippi out of 350? Not a big dent, but I guess it’s a start.
