He wasn't a priest, just a principal. I don't know this story is kind of irrelevant. I went to a Catholic school & we had a lesbian for a PE teacher (shocking!). She was a PE teacher, not a nun.

All catholic schools have a decency clause. All teachers must uphold them. Just being openly gay breaks the code. There was a huge lawsuit about this in NYC just recently.
When Catholic teachers went on strike for better pay this year, many gay teachers spoke out about undue pressure from School Administration regarding "how good they have been" to them. not to subtle of a threat.
God knows the next time George Michael is caught sucking dick in a restroom, it will be a 'Gay' story for the conservative press.
