(Bad) Words…

“By claiming their relationships are normal, homosexuals are trying to influence the Government to legally bless their unions. They hope to indoctrinate society to accept it…. Abnormal sexual preference, even when it becomes ‘normal” to an individual due to abnormal circumstances can be controlled. Just because certain individuals experience sexual desires towards members of the same sex, because something went wrong in their lives does mean that that their behavior should be accepted.” From Ugandan national Isaac Eyalama’s recent op-ed, “Homosexuality is a moral disease.” [New Vision]

This is an outmoded argument that probably could have been published in the United States in the 1950s.

Sorry to say, but many African countries are backward in their social policies. My unsolicited advice to our brothers/sisters there: EMIGRATE.

Should we be asked to save the world when we have Prop. 8 pending here in California?

something tells me that we are going to see a rise in this viewpoint. with economic strife and religious types seeking more and more power we will see a barrage of attacks like this, people using gays as an excuse for the worlds woes. It’s going to get violent kids, more and more people are refusing to think with their hearts and their minds and are beginning to act on their unfounded paranoias and fears.
We are coming to a point where all the reasoning and informative talking the gay community and it’s reps can do to explain who we are as people will just fall on angry, deaf ears and their propoganda and hate speech will continue to spread until little acts of violence again gay people and their families becomes more and more practiced and accepted.
Sorry to be a downer but when you study history you learn that SOME minority group is always taking the blame for whatever it is the mass-mob is angry about that day.

You sure this isn’t a Sarah Palin quote. Oh, wait – it can’t be. There are complete sentences.

I wish whoever the crank on here is who is trying to assume my screenname would stop it.

This kind of hiding your identity makes comments on here less worth reading, because it distorts their own and others’ reputations that have accumulated with your comment history.

If you want to start over, use a screenname that another is not using.

Or perhaps it’s possible there are simply two people called John in this big wide world, and the other one doesn’t think he should have to make up a name when his original one will do.
